Lmao@ all these obese nerds trying to say they are athletes. Go take a look in the mirror and see how ridiculous your claims are.

They aren't claiming to be athletes though. If they were they would say gaming is an athletic event. Athletes applies to athletics, not sports. The 2 just so happen to overlap a lot.
-
Nice try with the semantics. Athletes play sports. Gamers play games. I don't know how much easier I have to break it down for the posers. This wouldn't even be an argument 10-15 years ago. Many more people are living sedentary lifestyles these days and trying their damndest to justify it. Trust me, I work in cardiac medical manufacturing. I see these couch potato "athletes" as job security.
-
I'm not saying it's a sport. It's not in the modern day sense of the word. That is why the term Esports exists, to separate it. But those "semantics" are correct. They aren't claiming to be athletes.

-
Hey desticle get out of gaming
-
Mental Athletics, not physical. Although stating they are "obese" is probably false. You probably do not understand what a sport even is you moronic -blam!-shit

Looks like I struck a nerve, eh Tubby? Heart disease is a pandemic in the United States and sedentary lifestyles are a big factor. Obesity is also a pandemic here. Gaming is a SEDENTARY activity. Gamers are not athletes, not even close. My father played professional soccer in Mexico. I was raised by a real athlete and know exactly what it takes to be one. I've also played competitive basketball for close to 30 years. I love gaming, but it is NOT a sport.
-
Soccer isnt a sport...

You must be one of those ignorant Americans that give us all a bad name.
-
Oh I see, you're one of those people that stereotype all Americans. Case closed lol

Edited by Sho: 11/10/2015 4:20:59 PMIt is a sport, I'm not even tubby in the littlest, and don't act like your hot shit. You aren't the only one who is athletic. You are irrelevant and probably feel good about yourself. Obviously obesity is a problem and needs to be worked on. Just because people game doesn't mean they are obese nor are the ones who defend gaming to be a sport. You are retarded and are probably the only obese mother -blam!-er in these comments.
-
Ah, you must be a scrawny runt then living vicariously through games. Games where you can achieve artificial alpha male status and recognition from other social outcasts. Only deluded gamers such as yourself think you are athletes. Ninety-nine percent of society would ridicule you for those claims.

Edited by Neilius Maximus: 11/10/2015 1:13:29 AMGaming takes a lot of mental focus, quick reaction times and a huge amount of teamwork. It takes just as much skill and practice as any other professional sport. The only thing that doesn't classify it as a sport is the athletic part, but you have to have a strong mind. And come on, I've heard racing and chess considered sports before. Lol. And drums in rock band and games like dance dance revolution you have to be an athlete to play pretty much

Shut the -blam!-. Why are you in these forums. You don't seem a gamer, you seem a total -blam!-ing jerk that works out everyday. And if you miss a day your like "OMFG I MISSED A DAY, MY LIFE IS DONE FOR" k.
-
I have no idea what you're talking about. You must have never played competitively in gaming before.
-
Please PLEASE be joking
-
Joking about what?
-
About saying training in sports like hockey or football is the same as gaming
-
Obviously not on the physical side of it. Mentally yes. The best gamers in the world don't just pick up a controller and become the best. It takes years upon years of dedication.
