I think it's more like old Skolas stays hidden, doesn't get caught, gets Vex tech, becomes future Skolas, goes back in time to try and -blam!- shit up more, and gets caught. We kill future Skolas, because otherwise continuity wouldn't be preserved and there would be a paradox

That... kinda makes sense.
-
This theory essentially alters time, creating two timelines, one where he doesnt get caught and one where he does.
-
No it doesn't, it's one consistent timeline
-
Your saying he travels back in time to before he gets the vex tech or after? If your saying before, then he would alter the events that happened then, preventing himself from stealing to the vex tech, so he couldnt have traveled back in time.
-
You're right, reminds me of trunks in dbz. Timelines get confusing but yeah you are correct
-
He could travel to before or after. If we assume that it's a constant loop (which it would have to be to maintain continuity) future Skolas would only do what the previous future Skolas did, if that makes sense. Talking about time travel always makes conversation confusing
-
Are you talking about his theory or what I just posted?
-
What you posted.
-
I like it except that gets harder to put a timeframe on due to the existence of the orbiks servitor in the present.
-
If we capture and kill present Skolas, future Skolas can't exist though. We'll get a paradox
-
This. A future skolas cant exist, so OP's theory wouldnt work unless he was taken from another timeline.
-
If he adjusts his theory by saying we capture future Skolas, everything else fits nicely
-
I adjusted tree.
-
Like I said before, your future skolas cant exist because if he were to take the vex tech, stay out of trouble and travel back in time to before he got the tech and switch with the old skolas, he would essentially prevent himself from gaining the vex tech in the first place because he would be altering the past which would erase the future where he travels back to the present.
-
The Skolas in A Kell Rising is present Skolas. The one in Queen's Ransom is future Skolas, back in time using Vex tech. The one in Prison is future Skolas
-
Your theory is basically taking two timelines and merging them into one, correct? One where he doesnt get caught and one where he does, but the one where he does can only exist if the one where he doesnt exists.
-
That's not what I'm saying at all. Skolas is released by the Nine, goes to rally Wolves and unite Houses. Visits Winter and enlists many of them. Escapes in Skiff. Sends Wolves to Vault to harness Vex powers. Lays low for a good amount of time while maybe deciphering Vex tech. Goes back in time to Winter lair soon after old Skolas leaves (hence Vex signal). Lays low again. Once he knows his previous self is in hiding, future Skolas assaults the Citadel, drawing the Wolves through time. He gets captured. He gets killed. One, continuous timeline
-
So at what point does old skolas become future skolas ?
-
When he goes back in time
-
But wait, isnt your theory creating an infinite loop of skolas dying? He travels back in time as his old self goes into hiding, but wouldnt his old self also go back in time and die? If so, every single skolas would die.
-
Yes, it's an eternal loop of time travel. If old Skolas hid for long enough before traveling back where we would then seen him in a future DLC, we couldn't kill him
-
Ah ok thanks.
-
Ah I understand now. Excellent theory. OP was definatelty on the right track but fell short a bit. My apologies if I sounded like a douche before.
-
It's fine. OP just adjusted his post a bit
-
So if future Skolas Gets caught he still dies in the prison right unless there goin DC on us with a multiverse xD lolol Welp who knows theres intergalactic travel and Magic xD
