Has anyone ever experience when you are about to fall asleep but you wake up but your eyes are still closed and you can't move a muscle

Not that but the fast falling before u fall asleep then you jerk awake before you hit the ground,
-
I remember something similar to that i was dreaming it was snowing and i went to go inside but i tripped and before i hit the ground i woke up with a weird sensation
-
That's me too. Except mine is me tied to a fence, with a huge bull running towards me.
-
Ok that's weird, and scary.
-
I don't like it. I hate this jump dream things.
-
I do that all the time
-
I have that happen all the time when I'm -blam!-ing exhausted.
-
Yup, every time I try to sleep, it happens then I'm awake again. And so the process goes on and on.
-
That's shitty. Only happens once in a while for me.

Lucid Dreaming
-
Mmm.. no. Lucid dreaming is the ability to control the events in a dream once you you've started dreaming. He's speaking of the moments before unconsciousness where the muscles no longer respond to impulses and you are basically laying there conscious, but the equivalent of paralyzed until you actually fall asleep
-
Sleep paralysis. I've had it happen once.
-
I've had it happen on too many occasions to count in my early insomnia-stages Then there's the times where you get so close to sleeping without doing so that it feels like something is trying to pull your soul down to hell or something.. Fun times
-
This called th ghost press u
-
I've only experienced the sleep paralysis once or twice and it wasn't fun. Never experienced the soul-pulling though.

I had a fun freshman year to say the least..
