Not for raids.
Wouldn't work. Would be a complete waste of resources to implement that just to watch it be a catastrophic failure.
Day after raid matchmaking is implemented, forums be like
"raids impossible, it's too hard, my group spent 9 hours on Warpriest, nerf nerf nerf, no ones using a mic please make mic required, no one has recommended light level please nerf light level for raid nerf nerf nerf whine whine whine this is bullshit I QUIT FOREVER IM GONNA PLAY FALLOUT :,("
Amirite?
i PROMISE you'll still be on LFG if you actually plan on beating anything
Edited by Crispy Squ1rr3l: 11/7/2015 12:05:50 AMAnd LFG is???? Optimal match making for raids would be perfectly fine. Just whinny little brats who say it won't work are the problem. And I have yet to find any activity that requires a mic.

If you want to keep an open mind to the reason why you're wrong please feel free to read my original comment, but beyond that? I can't help you.

I have an open mind there chief. Just haven't found a reason why match making wouldn't work. I have been part of some LFG teams that were wanting. Maybe, we need to find a half way point that works for both?

Edited by Gooch_McGrundle: 11/7/2015 1:54:58 AMI think what needs to happen is an in-game LFG system. You shouldn't need a third party to play this game. This game has absolutely zero incorporation of clans which is a huge bummer. For a game that claims to be social, there are ZERO social features. It's almost impossible to interact with other Guardians in "social spaces". Everyone at the Tower and Reef may as well be A.I. It's shameful. Some kind of in game recruiting for endgame activities is needed, but I don't think raids should just be thrown together like strikes. Raid teams should go through a vetting process. They should be put together thoughtfully depending on the strategies you want to use. With so many people from all over the world, there's going to be a lot of people in different situations, with different loadouts and strategies, different goals, different levels of experience, different levels of dedication or competence, different checkpoints, or even different languages. Many people will just launch the activity not knowing what they're in for, not having a mic and not being prepared. It seems cruel to pool these people randomly and doom them to an activity that can take anywhere from 1-12 hours depending on how lucky you get to have a group that has any chance. You know how often people quit Dust Palace in the strike playlist? It'd be A hundred times worse. The raid completion numbers would tank. If social spaces had hundreds of people, voice options, a way to post recruiting messages for others to see, better (or any) clan integration and optional matchmaking for Nightfalls and Trials of Osiris I think we would all agree the game would be better.

So nothing would change?

Edited by Gooch_McGrundle: 11/6/2015 11:04:11 PMWell, forums would be inundated with garbage and anyone who's actually decent at raids would be on LFG so.... Yeah not much would change besides the people who can barely fight their way on to a team wouldn't be trying Lfg anymore, which actually sounds good to me. I just want people to know matchmaking for raids will not be what they want it to be. They're just being lazy. You want a good team but don't want to have to find one? I just don't get it. A good raid team can clear 3 raids before a match made team would beat Golgoroth lmao I think everyone asking for raid matchmaking should just get in an active clan and develop some social skills.

That is true imagine trying to do a raid with people who can't even figure out the lfg process as it is. You'd be screwed too because you can't boot anyone from your team and a huge door for trolling would be open. Black ops zombies style

Thank you for having common sense. The amount of hate I get for trying to explain why raid matchmaking can't work is staggering.
