In the year one of Destiny, there were 2 paths to get endgame level weapons and armor. They were the raids, Iron Banner and for the past 6 months ToO. I like the interaction that you get with friends in Raids. You test each other abilities and even loyalty. I fill the raid has been a great filter to see who will stick around and not rage quite after the 2nd try at a single encounter. In IB or trials you and your friends formulate strategies on how to take out the opposing team. Building friendships in these arenas are the core of what Destiny is about. When time and time again the reward suffers, the friendships suffer. Including myself, I find fewer friends playing the game. This is being contributed to the rewards.
Just as raids having normal and hard modes, PvP should also. IB should reward 310 gear, being viewed as the low level competitive arena. Trials should reward 320 or absolute max light for that season of the game. This past round of IB and Trials has been highly disappointing in their rewards. What has changed from year 1 to year 2 where this is not the case? In the end, this is a call for endgame gear balancing.

PvP should never give high level gear
