The fact that people are willing to spend 2500 glimmer for 3-4 weapon parts show how ridiculously broken the weapon parts economy is in Destiny. I can't believe they nerfed weapon parts from dismantling weapons. Such a joke.

  • Only nerfed from blues and greens. Legendary and exotic weapons give the same amount of parts as they always have.

  • True, but most people don't have a ton of legendary and exotic weapons sitting around that they don't want.

  • That's true, I personally don't understand what everyone did with all of their weapons parts. I have plenty because I didn't turn them in for faction rep and I don't apply the upgrades or infuse any weapons unless I'm ready to actually use them. So I haven't squandered away all of my weapons parts thankfully. But even though it doesn't make a difference to me, I think they should definitely bring back how many weapons parts we could get before. Even though that's really only about 1 more part per blue/green dismantled.

  • I used most of my large stash for reforging weapons during House of Wolves. I still have a couple hundred, but that's not the case for most people. Bungie posted a stat stating that the average number of weapon parts per active account (across all 3 characters) is 26.8 as of the beginning of this month. That is extremely low considering that isn't even enough for 3 infusions.

Oh I didn't see that number they published. Damn people are crazy for wasting such a large majority of parts like that. I always told my friends they were being dumb by reforging so many of their weapons 50-100 times just for the perfect roll. And now that's come back to bite them in the ass lol I'm all for Bungie undoing the reduction, but that'll just give basically 1 more part per weapon dismantled, so people will still feel short on weapons parts because of their own reckless use of them. But still, they need to undo the reduction so that people stop blaming their weapon parts shortage on the nerf Haha Just my opinions, I hope you have a fantastic day.

  • Except that represents 90-95% of the weapons that are available for dismantling to supply parts. So that was a HUGE move.

  • That's pretty true, they really only took away about 1 part per weapon dismantled, if that, since it was just reduced by 25%. I didn't use my parts for faction rep and I don't apply the upgrades or infuse any weapons unless I'm ready to actually use them; so I have plenty of parts right now as I haven't squandered them away. Even though it doesn't matter to me, they should restore it to what it was since the reduction didn't really make sense as it was necessary in any way.
