PS4 controller to headset causing lag!

Has anyone experienced lag on Destiny or any other PS4 application with their headset connected to controller? I have been through hell and back diagnosing, trying to figure out why! Finally during a crucible match while lagging, in a moment of frustration, disconnected my headset and the lag stopped! Now I'd like to know why. I have tried everything on the Bungie website as far as clearing cache, clearing memory, even deleted and reinstalled the game! New router(s), ( which are now ported and dedicated to the PS4) new modem, had the cable rep verify quality of signal. All is good on the internet side. Can anyone tell me what would cause my headset connected to the controller make my game lag?

  • I cannot tell you why. I can only tell you that it happens, people have said it has something to do with wireless signals that can be around the console. AND that there is no fix. I have had this problem since day one of using a ps4 and I have found no way around it. If it gets REALLY bad, resetting the controller with the button on the back can help. But it will always come back.
