Rather than simply laugh at you for using infowars, I decided to read the article that they cited. The nasa article clearly states that: 1) the rate of Antarctic ice gain had decreased 2) it would not be unexpected for the gain to turn to loss. 3) the sea level is still rising In conclusion: don't use infowars.

  • Concerning point #3: Frozen water has a greater volume than liquid water. So if the amount of ice is increasing still, then it should make sense that the water levels are increasing. If and when some of the ice caps begin to melt faster than they form, then the sea level would lower once more. Am I false in this reasoning?

  • Most of it is snow accumulation, which primarily adds to the top layers.

  • The gain is slowly decreasing and won't turn into a net loss until 2046 at a worst case scenario, yet liberals say that's happening today.
yet liberals say
I really, really hate that people throw politics into science. Enough with liberal this, conservative that. If you're talking about science, political affiliation should have nothing to do with it.

  • The sea level is already rising. Did you miss that part?

  • Yeah just like Al Gore predicted for 2015. Sea level is already over 60 feet and took out Florida just like they said it would! In the 80's it was global cooling, the 90's and early 2000's it was global warming, now its climate change and many are jumping back to cooling. You know that pete bogs, cow waste, and volcanoes put off more harmful gasses than CO2 right? Methane is the most destructive of the greenhouse gasses and comes from sources that cannot be controlled or stopped. Heck a medium sized volcanic eruption puts out enough greenhouse gasses to equal 50 years of combined human emissions.

  • Al Gore: http://cnsnews.com/news/article/barbara-hollingsworth/wrong-al-gore-predicted-arctic-summer-ice-could-disappear-2013 Also in his movie he discusses the doomsday prophecy in the years 2015-2020. Methane: http://www3.epa.gov/climatechange/ghgemissions/gases/ch4.html Important to note that they say while it has a shorter half life it is 25 times more potent. Volcanoes: http://m.livescience.com/40451-volcanic-co2-levels-are-staggering.html Does not go into long term sulfides in the atmosphere and the short term cooling that turns into heating. Still interesting how the numbers continue to double in CO2 emissions whereas before it was heresy to say that they were significant. If you want something to look for directly look at the "snowball" earth theory and how it completely thawed. All of these are brief and further digging would be advised.

  • That is completely and utterly false. The Iceland volcano emitted a fraction of greenhouse gas produced by humans in a year. I have no idea where the volcano myth came from, but it's been making people look dumb for a decade.

  • http://m.livescience.com/40451-volcanic-co2-levels-are-staggering.html I suggest you look at this and look into the recent research. The amounts continue to go up every year. Also research the "snowball" earth theory and how the planet thawed through volcanoes. They have a much greater impact than people realize not just for CO2 but for sulfides that initially cool the atmosphere and then cause longer term warming. And technically we are still in an ice age (because the presence of large ice caps at poles is what determines this period) so the earth will get warmer naturally to where there are no ice caps just like in the past.

He's cherry picking. People will grasp onto anything that sides with their point, and ignore all other facts.
