Run strikes. About 12 consecutive strikes should get you a good amount. Or simply keep grinding. Court of Oryx, PvP, strikes. This is what the game is about. How do you think people have over 500 weapons parts? Grinding. If you don't have the luxury of grinding, then quite simply the game is not for you. I don't think destiny is kind to casual players.

  • Well, -blam!- it right? You all deserve to have unlimited weapons parts. You deserve to just have them for doing little to nothing to get them. People like you are always gonna be unhappy playing destiny. One word, 'entitled'.

  • My question is do you have fun running 12 consecutive strikes? It reminds me of a cow clicker.

  • Two problems. First I shouldn't have to grind for something as simple as weapons parts. That's ridiculous. Second, it's not a guaranteed method. You can easily get mostly armor engrams or have a lot of your weapon engrams become motes or strange coins.

  • No. People last year had lots of parts by simply PLAYING the game...and the game supplied them with the materials that they needed. I never had to "grind" specifically for weapon parts or anything else last year. I only played the strikes when I was looking to get GEAR or other things that would increase my power. The fact that people are having to specifically grind now----and come up with a host of creative work-arounds----because of a lack of one of the game's most basic resources, shows you how badly Bungie broke the game's economy.

  • So destiny is about making you grind harder than the original grind? Lol kids will accept anything

  • 12 consecutive strikes is like 2 hours of playtime. Im glad you got time like that to do repetitive content. Not everyone does, so yea, buying 4 wep parts for 2500 isnt so bad. The only thing to use glimmer for other than that is heavy synths. Glad we have a shortcut. Have fun over there with your elitism and your strikes buddeh

  • I had like 1700 before HoW came out then there was reforging, by the time ttk came out I hade maybe 400. But with the all the new weapons and gear I always at 0 now when I need to upgrade something

  • Exactly the same situation here, I had literally thousands, but after weeks of reforging and multiple weapons to level/multiple sword quests to hand in, I just seem to be permanently having to farm more and more specifically for the parts!

Wow, did you seriously insinuate I was a 'casual' because I have so many weapons on all three of my chars that I have finally run out of parts? All I did was post this as a way for Guardians to get an extra few parts if they needed them, and they didn't want to/didn't have time to leave the Tower. Boy did this escalate quickly lol

  • You're right. I guess I didn't really direct this towards you but to the general public reading it. I myself have run out of weapons parts and this is really the only way to load up on them, so you won't experience that issue again.

  • Thanks for the sentiment, and I agree in principle with the Strikes and the Court being the best ways to farm engrams in general :)
