If your god gave you dominion over all other creatures then your god is too small.
If your god revealed himself only to a special few then your god is too small.
If your god is white, black, or any other race then your god is too small.
If your god sanctions -blam!-, cares about your sexuality, commands beheading, condones dismemberment, or accepts any other barbarism against sentient beings then your god is too small.
If your god authored his own holy book then your god is too small.
If your god gets offended then your god is too small.
If your god has chosen people then your god is too small.
If your god is a jealous god then your god is too small.
If your god supports your country, your political party, your religion, or your sports team over any other then your god is too small.
God is something bigger and grander than any human contrivance.
Currently I'm inclined to think there is an entity that could be considered as God. Still working through all the reasoning, but it's a fun exercise in logic.
Nice copy paste.
-
From what?
-
From the last person who posted that obviously. I've seen it floating around here.
-
I posted it. Lol.
-
So you're the one circulating that?
-
It's not circulating, I've just found it applicable.

Edited by Autolycus: 11/3/2015 2:50:09 PMBecause these things remove God of any real necessity or power. It corrupts the idea with human selfishness. For example, the idea of an all knowing creator playing favourites is ridiculous. By choosing to create, all creation is chosen specifically and with full intent.

If your God is restricted to definition, your God isn't a god, they're a joke.
