One thing I learned from my father, don't make empty threats. Be ready to back up what you promise.
Bungie is headed down that path; too much time and effort went into what they propose as an altruistic move - something decidedly NOT Bungie. Nothing is for free, and if they can pull a few more dollars from you, they will. As Luke Smith said, "it's up to the customer to decide the value". (Translation: we'll do it if we want to, and the customers can stay or leave.)

(Translation: we'll do it if we want to, and the customers can stay or leave.) - I chose Option B and left. I still browse the forums to see how many people are pissed off by BungieVision. I love the game but refuse to be taken in as a sucker by them

This perso. Thinks that we all work 40 hour weeks but the truth is lots of people out their don't have the time to grind so they are trying to let play their favorite game when they can but since no one has logic of that every doesn't have time to grind but people will abuse it but what does one thing people never abuse???? Maybe their dog and that's all I'm saying

I agree. I don't make empty threats. There are more than enough games out there. Bungie doesn't get my money or my time if they slip another millimeter down that slippery slope. I enjoy Destiny very much, but I will not support Pay To Win even though I can afford to pay... Because to me, it isn't winning if you can get an edge with Silver, whether you use it or not. And if they want players to pay for advantages, that is their choice. They will be choosing to lose me as a faithful customer from Myth and Marathon.

I get ya. I'm a triathlete, and in a way the sport is pay to win... bicycles, good ones, give you a marked advantage over poorer athletes. If you can't spend 3 grand or more, you won't be top-tier. It's that simple. Most triathlons are weighted toward fast bike times, and money can buy speed. Easy to see the results. It's a part of the sport that is unfair, but understood. If Destiny wants to be subscription, that's fine, but ante up and say so... Warframe does it pretty much that way. It's not necessarily the way I would go, but there are models out there. It just seems to me Bungie is trying to have it both ways, and the feel is that players get fleeced over and over. Whether or not one can pay for it isn't the point - the point is how many times do you keep paying for the same stuff? Here's the other shoe that has to drop... how are these ardent supporters of microtransactions going to feel when they find out Bungie will wipe the slate clean perhaps at the next DLC, and all these transactions they've made get wiped out too? Think losing year one weapons and gear was bad?

"Bring your favorite Year Two load-out up to the Year Three max for the low, low price of 2000 silver!" I really don't want to believe they are headed there. But man, are they degrading my optimism....

They won't word it that way. It'll be a consumable. Can't have the dumb masses catching on.
