Attention what im about to say is no way intended for discrimination or insult.
No offense but what does a religion matter for a clan or race or gender or any other ''grouping'' your preventing your self from meeting someone who could end up a wonderful friend, because he/she or any other identification because they weren't ______ 《fill in blank》 so yeah im not saying dont do it just think of the amount of people who aren't in that group

My clan is for those who love the tv show Firefly. If you haven't seen it and you join the clan, you are going to hear so much about it that you either get tired and quit the clan or you eventually watch the show and love it. The fact that we are a firefly clan is a bit of a disclaimer and to let you know what you're in for. Don't go in if you don't want to hear about firefly. What the op is trying to do is something like that. For all the haters, give it a rest already. If you don't have anything positive to add, just leave it alone and say nothing at all.

nothing wrong with wanting to surround yourself with like minded individuals....
-
Than what's the point of any clan? The OP just had an idea for a clan that he would enjoy.
-
well the point i was going for was, "don't make a _____ theme'd group, because that cuts the population of people you meet by xyz amour of people"

Edited by Dragonborn012: 10/21/2015 1:56:35 PMI know this is probably a bad comparison but schools, colleges, etc have clubs like anime club, Hispanic, Asian, African American students club, jazz club, gamer club etc. It's based on a particular interest but I assume these clubs and this clan wouldn't shun someone who has an interest in the club's theme or ideas from joining.

Ah I see.

generalised to everything: chances to get along are higher if you have some shared interests. OP decided to focus on his religion while others would decide on place or hobby (but let's be realistic, we play destiny, we don't have time for another hobby)

yes but unless you take a step out of your circle of comfort, you'll never advance, what i mean by that is, lets set down and talk to 20 people, 5 of them are christian, the others are not, they are anything else from islamic to jewish, you are not allowed to ask religion or infer yours, now talk about any thing, after a while you find out you and the person could be very good friends as well as letting in new ideas, however lets go with the original idea, you can meet people who are very like you, now thats the same as you but its two people instead of two+ people who are all different ideals, introducing you to a more diverse world ( sorry if this makes no sense I'm very bad at describing things like this without somehow insulting someone in some way.)

it makes perfect sense, and I fully agree. but I also believe you are entitled to sometimes want to stay in your comfort zone.

We just wish to play with those who know Christ, but I understand what your meaning
