A religious clan playing a game that promotes violence and Gods that are not their own. Surely this is a joke post?
Don't pick and choose when you want to be religious please OP, it's annoying. I hope your clan dies quicker than Jesus did.

Am I not allowed to build relationships with my brothers and sisters in Christ by sharing in the things we love?
-
Edited by ChickenDippezzz: 10/21/2015 3:21:54 PMFirstly, Destiny is not your only outlet to "build relationships" with your brothers and sisters. In fact I would go as far as to say there are specific websites, forums and places for you to do just that. Why do you feel the need to bring your religion to a game? Secondly, what about the Muslim, Jewish, Atheist and all the other non-Christian "brothers and sisters" who share the same love of Destiny as you do? Are they not invited to the party? Because I sure as hell can't seem them joining your very specifically named religious clan. Can you?

How is it affecting you negatively?

1. not is only outlet: no, but why couldn't it be one of them? 2. Every clan has some restrictions. Hell, some clans only allow PS players... how shocking!! And having a 'religion based clan' doesn't mean ' I don't want to play with people who don't share my belief'. Just 'I want to have a group who shares my belief to play with quite often'
-
1. Because this particular outlet is not specifically designed or catering to one specific religion where as the outlets I have mentioned are. What we have in Destiny is a mix of many different religions, beliefs and opinions. Religion specific clans therefore have no place here. Can you imagine if an employee at Bungie made the Bible the only artefact in the game to support their own Christian beliefs, there would be an outcry on the forums. 2. And no, as much as I would love what you have written to be true, sadly it is not. All to often religious groups like this who claim to be accepting "shun" people as soon as they find out they are gay/lesbian or swear a lot or have committed a crime or whatever. At the end of the day, their religion will ALWAYS be put before the human being presented in front of them. With regards to your comment about other clans restrictions, I have already commented on another users post that clans should be removed from the game if it means the end of segregation and discrimination.

1. the fact you as a member of the forum have an idea of what a clan should or shouldn't be doesn't mean it is the only conception possible for the whole forum. Just like the fact someone has a religious belief doesn't mean it's or should be the only valid one for everybody else. 2. There is a difference between 'active' discrimination and something that can be perceived as 'discrimination' but is just on the personal preference level. I 've the impression this is why we don;t agree. You see this as active discrimination, while I see it as a user preference that, as long as it stays just as the way OP phrased it, is perfectly fine, just like 'want to have a clan of US based players' or co. These are very different statements than to say ' I want to only play with Us players'. Of course, the supporters of the latter would likely be also inclined to the former, but the opposite is not true. I believe you are over reacting and because you are, as everyone should be, worried of the second one, you then overreact on the first one because it can lead to the second one. Cheers.

I agree with you. Thank you for your constructive discussion.

Did I ever say they can't join? Oh wait, I didn't. I'm happy to let them join. But just like I'm respectful towards their beliefs I'd like them to be accepting of mine. Also, as a Christian I'm called to spread the word and love of Christ to those who do not know it. There are plenty of people in the world of Destiny who don't know Christ and there aren't many people doing anything about it to spread it. I'm only doing what I'm called to and that is to proclaim the name of Christ above all other names and declare that He is Lord.

Edited by ChickenDippezzz: 10/21/2015 3:46:04 PMI think there is enough information out there in the world about your religion without the need for you to "spread the word" and "love of Christ" to players in Destiny thanks. People can make their own choices. You are the exact type of person I would avoid at all costs, someone who forces their belief on you. Don't do it.

They may have heard about it, but it's my job to help prepare their hearts for making the choice.
-
No it's really not. You don't have the right to decide anything for anyone other than yourself and your own children. I'm not even entertaining you any more as I am sure you are just trying to wind me up.
-
He didn't say he had the right to decide for anyone. He said, "help prepare" to make the choice. It's like you don't even read chicken.
-
I do read, unfortunately it seems that's all you do because you don't think.
-
I literally said I'm preparing their hearts for "them" to make the choice, not me.
-
They clearly aren't getting a choice if you are throwing your brainwash down their throats. Real choice is allowing them to discover religion on their own and choose their own path, without you giving them a push where you want them to go.
-
It's not pushing them, it's informing them. If a science teacher decides to teach his students about plants, does that mean he's pushing them all to be botanists? See, your argument just doesn't make sense.
-
You made a fairly true statement, but that's still not what he said. You've proven you can read, however you've further compounded the fact that you lack comprehension while doing so.
-
Atheist playing a video game where there are gods? Clearly must infer he actually believes they exist and worships these virtual reality gods. Such a hypocrite! Golly gee wizz!! ..... it's a game dude...... don't be arrogant.
-
I like this lol :)
-
this. Both atheist and religious people are able to differentiate real life and video games. Apart integrists but well...
-
Actually, I am not the one who reads a book denouncing other Gods and violence. They are. So where as to me none of this matters, they are the ones certainly not practising what they preach. Thanks for trying to be witty though. I enjoyed it.

Not cool man.
