Just any kind of Christians?
Because Catholics aren't really Christian's.
Episcopalian's are wannabe's.
Some of those evangelical devidian branches are more cult than religion.
Then there's the entire Mormon religion that thinks their christian but everyone else thinks not.
Then there is the Jehovah witness's, they think their christian but everyone else just thinks their weird.
Then there's the reformed primitive southern baptist, Not really christian, more like children of the corn scary.
Then there is the Amish? not really sure what to say about them, they stay hid from everyone. But most don't really consider them Christians either
Then there is the seventh day Adventist? wholly cow. They think by using facts and science that that makes them Christian's. Geez.
Then there is the church of the apocalypse. Another church that thinks their christian. But when the thing you are looking forward too is the death of billions? I would say you are praying to someone else.
Then there is the church of the sacred heart. Nice people but they are more inclined with the catholics.
My favorite church is the church of gospel truth.(snake handlers) . Small church, but worth the price of admission to watch Jesus "NOT" put his blessing on some poor fool. They do die. Quite frequently actually. You would think they would eventually run out of members.
My sister-n-law joined a dandy little congregation of evangelical folks a couple of years ago. It's called the church of the spirit. They think that their only purpose on this planet is to go around in public releasing demons from peoples body's while holding a conversation with Jesus in tongues. (They used to lock people up for this behavior back in the old days).
Oh! I can keep going and going and going. There is as many people who call themselves christian as there are hairs on a monkeys face and none of them think the other is right.
Funny thing is, as splintered as Christianity is with its different sects, so is Islam and Judea. Why do you think the Muslims are slaughtering each other? Its all over whose interpretation is correct.

Wow! so many comments on a comment. Here's some more fuel for the fire. Right down the road from me is a Baptist church. Its not affiliated with southern or northern or any of the other baptist organizations. But it does have many of the same teachings. EXCEPT, they carry the word of the bible to an extreme. They teach that the races were separated for a reason, woman are subservient people to men and that white men are the true children of god and that all others were put here to be used by them. They have many of the old testament laws for the church, like having the kids to be wed when they are of age. Most of the marriages take place at 13 to 16 years old. Get much older and your not married?, your out of the church. Get divorced? Your out of the church. Just so people will know, its a old German church too. I can see how Hitler got some of his view points as a child. It is the most hate filled church I have ever seen. Although they consider their church a christian church, the only Christian thing about them was their belief that Christ was sent here to forgive our sins and that believing in him made them sin free in the eyes of god. When I asked why they were so strict in their ways, one member told me, "Christ and God forgive, we don't have too". Needless to say, I have never been back. I was born a Catholic, but raised in two church's. The other was Southern Baptist. Yea, I am a bipolar christian. I was raised in them in the age of "racial integration" . I don't like the southern baptist because of what they preached at the time. Which was "The races are meant by God to be separated". But its not just the words they used in sermons on Sunday morning. It was the examples they used to get the message thru to the congregations. Lots of fear tactics to illicit a negative emotion from the crowd. " Our young woman and girls will be open game for the negroid's" type stuff. Catholics have a cornerstone on guilt. Southern baptist have a cornerstone on fear. Most people get their religion from their parents, others gravitate to it because of a emotional issue. That religious belief is influenced by those in your life at the time. So saying a statement like dowski said "Christians are anyone who has truly accepted the fact in their heart that Jesus Christ is Lord and has saved us from our sinful nature". Wars have started over such a naive statement. Its not what they believe, its how they practice and live that belief that have caused Christians to kill each others in the millions for centuries. Islam doesn't hold a candle to Christianity as a blood thirsty religion. They will have to be killing for a couple of more centuries before the tally's are close. Most don't know it, but most of the German army during WW2 were devote Lutherans. Who were taught justification in their war from the bible. Even their hatred for Jews was fueled by the bible as was much of the support the United States gave to -godwinslaw!-;s was supported by church's. At the beginning of the war in Europe, the vast majority (65%) of Americans supported the -godwinslaw!- cause. Because of what they were being taught in church. Don't believe me? Go to your local library and pull up the old newspapers from the 30's before the US got involved. You will not find hardly a dissenting article about -godwinslaw!-'s, but you will see lots of articles for support. Strange huh? My grandmother had a great saying. "If you have to tell me that your a christian, your not a christian" meaning : if I can't see the spirit in you, its not in you.

Christians are anyone who has truly accepted the fact in their heart that Jesus Christ is Lord and has saved us from our sinful nature. That's all that matters. Not what you call yourself, but what you believe.

Edited by Trencendense: 10/21/2015 2:46:56 PMI would say Jehovahs witness because ive studied them. They actually use Jehovahs name which is the father of Jesus. And they're the ones that actually preach door to door world wide just like jesus told his people back then. Plus they are really nice people and are very modern christians there not stuck in the past with like an old mind set. They also have JW.ORG which is the best christian website ive came across with. They literally can answer you any question you might have. And its funny how just a few days ago the pope admire jehovahs witness for going door to door preaching and now wants all these pastors or whatever to go preach like them door to door lol. Also they dont adore any images or give/ pray to any image just like how 1 of the commandments of God told people to do so. And they dont believe in the trinity its funny because that word isnt even in the bible. Thats just something people made up later on. Lol. The trinity doesnt exist lmao How can Jesus be God? Yet when jesus was babtized the sky open and the voice of God spoke to him. Really people come on? Read the bible please.
-
Sir, I believe you may be reading the wrong Bible...
-
Lol thats not true buddy If you google "What is the most accurate bible in the world?" What do get? The New World Translation Of The Holy Scriptures Which comes from the Jehovahs witness.
-
The Internet is always right?
-
I trust google
-
That's your choice. I prefer not to. Especially since Google translate is only correct 50% of the time.
-
That's your opinion. But saying the "Trinity" is not ever included in the Bible is not true. Several times it mentions the Holy Spirit and in Philippians 2:5-11 it describes how Christ, though he was God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped. Christ knew he was God but did not consider himself equal with God. Instead he lowered himself to the form a servant in the body of man and became obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross. The Holy Spirit is considered God in the bible, as is Jesus. Those three things form the Trinity.
Christ knew he was God but did not consider himself equal with God
Really? Then if christ is not God and God is not christ and the holy spirit is neither than you just contradicted yourself. But im sorry but anyone that has logic or even an atheist can tell you what you just said does not make sense. Jesus is the son of God-Jehovah and Jehovah is the God and the holy spirit is his active force. Otherwise known as to science as Dark energy. The Bible’s answer The holy spirit is God’s power in action, his active force. (Micah 3:8; Luke 1:35) God sends out his spirit by projecting his energy to any place to accomplish his will.—Psalm 104:30; 139:7. In the Bible, the word “spirit” is translated from the Hebrew word ru′ach and the Greek word pneu′ma. Most often, those words refer to God’s active force, or holy spirit. (Genesis 1:2) However, the Bible also uses those words in other senses: Breath.—Habakkuk 2:19; Revelation 13:15. Wind.—Genesis 8:1; John 3:8. The vital, or animating, force in living creatures.—Job 34:14, 15. A person’s disposition or attitude.—Numbers 14:24. Spirit persons, including God and the angels.—1 Kings 22:21; John 4:24. These meanings all share the sense of something invisible to humans that produces visible effects. Similarly, the spirit of God, “like the wind, is invisible, immaterial and powerful.”—An Expository Dictionary of New Testament Words, by W. E. Vine. The Bible also refers to God’s holy spirit as his “hands” or “fingers.” (Psalm 8:3; 19:1; Luke 11:20; compare Matthew 12:28.) Just as a craftsman uses his hands and fingers to do his work, God has used his spirit to produce such results as the following: The universe.—Psalm 33:6; Isaiah 66:1, 2. The Bible.—2 Peter 1:20, 21. The miracles performed by his ancient servants and their zealous preaching.—Luke 4:18; Acts 1:8; 1 Corinthians 12:4-11. The fine qualities displayed by people who obey him.—Galatians 5:22, 23. The holy spirit is not a person By referring to God’s spirit as his “hands,” “fingers,” or “breath,” the Bible shows that the holy spirit is not a person. (Exodus 15:8, 10) A craftsman’s hands cannot function independent of his mind and body; likewise, God’s holy spirit operates only as he directs it. (Luke 11:13) The Bible also compares God’s spirit to water and associates it with such things as faith and knowledge. These comparisons all point to the impersonal nature of the holy spirit.—Isaiah 44:3; Acts 6:5; 2 Corinthians 6:6. The Bible gives the names of Jehovah God and of his Son, Jesus Christ; yet, nowhere does it name the holy spirit. (Isaiah 42:8; Luke 1:31) When the Christian martyr Stephen was given a miraculous heavenly vision, he saw only two persons, not three. The Bible says: “He, being full of holy spirit, gazed into heaven and caught sight of God’s glory and of Jesus standing at God’s right hand.” (Acts 7:55) The holy spirit was God’s power in action, enabling Stephen to see the vision. Misconceptions about the holy spirit Misconception: The “Holy Ghost,” or holy spirit, is a person and is part of the Trinity, as stated at 1 John 5:7, 8 in the King James version of the Bible. Fact: The King James version of the Bible includes at 1 John 5:7, 8 the words “in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one. And there are three that bear witness in earth.” However, researchers have found that those words were not written by the apostle John and so do not belong in the Bible. Professor Bruce M. Metzger wrote: “That these words are spurious and have no right to stand in the New Testament is certain.”—A Textual Commentary on the Greek New Testament. Misconception: The Bible personifies the holy spirit, and this proves that it is a person. Fact: The Scriptures do at times personify the holy spirit, but this does not prove that the holy spirit is a person. The Bible also personifies wisdom, death, and sin. (Proverbs 1:20; Romans 5:17, 21) For example, wisdom is said to have “works” and “children,” and sin is depicted as seducing, killing, and working out covetousness.—Matthew 11:19; Luke 7:35; Romans 7:8, 11. Tadaaaaaa! There is no trinity bro. Sorry to bust your bubble man.

What's your take on John 1:1 I consider myself nondenominational and like to hear other peoples views
-
To begin, nice copy paste. Secondly, Jesus did not consider himself equal to God because of His love for us. He could've left us in our sinful nature, but it wasn't what he wanted. God created us to have a relationship with us. However, God cannot be found anywhere near sin and because we sin, that separates us from us. But because God wants a relationship with us, he sent his one and only son Jesus, who was also God, to die for us as the perfect sacrifice thus saving us from sin and removing the separation between us and Him. We are so sinful, that Christ had to die for us. But we are also so loved, that Christ had to die for us. I might not be able to change your mind, and I'm not going to disagree with your beliefs, but all I ask is that you be respectful of mine. Cheers.

I literally laughed out loud at the bit about the snake handlers. Studied them in my religions class in college. Weird group. Interesting, I'll give them that.
-
Christians are people who believe in Christ. This includes Catholics among all other sub sects of Christianity. Judaism could technically have counted until the death of Christ. As Islam, they are Islam.
-
I think we could be friends
-
Shouldn't that be a hint if all these people have tried a myriad ways to find and worship a deity and nothing has turned up except conflict between the human race? Smh at the religious folk.
-
Your a legend hahaha what do you think about muslims?
-
Haha. True true, I'm a Mormon.
-
Mormons are wrong its just americas spin on the bible
-
Wrong isn't the right word to use. We have the bible, which we believe in them we have a kind of add on to the bible
-
What would you think about revelations 22:18 not trying to start a fight I'm just curious of what your opinion is?
-
I think the biggest issue is the difference of belief about the divinity of christ, the resurrection, eschatology, soteriology, and so on. I think that is why the split between Christians and LDS happens.
-
I like you
-
Catholics are the original x-tians.
-
Ha ha you realize that putting X instead of putting Christ was originally used to take Christ out of Christmas just thought it was funny and you would like to know LOL
