  • I'll be more than happy to join, and to help/receive help! I already sent a request. All I've been needing since I moved is people willing to party up with. Only problem is, since my internet is so crappy, people attached to my fireteam have to be willing to possibly deal with my end causing them some lag. But, I'm always happy to jump onto a fireteam just to help someone with what theyre trying to do, just to have a team mate. Feel free to add me on PSN, anytime I'm on, I'm playin Destiny (or looking Destiny stuff up on Youtube)

  • Also what speed net do you have because I ran a 12mb connection for a while (hard wired) and that worked really well. I'm using 20mb now and it's doing ok but since the taken king it's been a little laggy still every once in a while. But I would recommend making sure that you are running an Ethernet cable from your PS3 to your modem with this game because it is an Internet hog and even with decent internet I would strongly advise against using wifi for this game. It's not going to work well at all. Spend a good 15-20 bucks on a decent Ethernet cable to run directly to your modem and if the problem persists then you may need to contact your internet provider and step the speed up especially if you have a lot of other people on the Internet at once (streaming YouTube, downloads, multiple devices, etc), this will definitely effect your net with multiple people in the home. If you are wireless the only hope you have is forwarding ports. There are multiple ports associated with destiny for matchmaking, raids, crucible, strikes, etc. and if the ports aren't open on your modem you will experience a strict NAT issue ( you want a NAT type 0-2, anything above that and there will definitely be issues), and NAT is basically your ability to contact a server and have the server contact back without a firewall blocking communication between your console and modem. Wireless is too much of a hassle because learning how to open these ports is problematic in itself and based of your modem model and speed capabilities. In short, find out if you can get a cable from the console to the modem you are using, then see what speed internet you have and I can help further assist you

  • Also what model modem do you own. I had one that wasn't even good for gaming even though it was fast. But it's easy to lease a different one or even buy a way better one that kicks serious ass:)

  • Are you running a wifi connection or hard wired?

  • Sorry to take so long to get back to you, I was away at a friends place for a little while. But I'm not sure what speed it is, all I know is that we have 10G during day hours, and 15 from 2-8 am, and the router is a Netgear WNR1000 v3. But my problem is, it's not my internet service, it's my dad's. I moved back in with him a few months ago, and went from playing with Comcast Xfinity, to this. See, he subscribed to Direct Tv, and bought the best package deal for HD service, and on demand, with internet, so they automatically assigned him an internet provider (Hughesnet), and he set up a data plan that suited his needs for all the tv and movies he downloads, and my dad's really, REALLY old school, and has no idea how technology works, so I cant really make adjustments, or even really touch the router, for fear that if something goes wrong, even if I'm not to blame, it'll still be my fault, so, I just deal with it lol and I'm playing on wifi for now, I do plan to hard wire it, just need to wait till I find a new job, and then eventually make enough extra to get a long enough cable to reach the modem from my room.

  • Try and see if he will at least let you run a cable from the modem to your PS3 that will make your life 100% better:)

  • Problem is, a friend of mine is in the exact situation, his parents got Hughesnet through their satellite tv service, but he has the router in his room, and his ps3 and ps4 are the only things hard wired into it, and he cant see anyone else in his world, on either system, unless he's on someone from his friends list's fireteam. So, I'm pretty sure, the only problem that'll solve for me will be that it'll keep me from getting booted to orbit or out of game. I'm trying to convince my dad to switch to Comcast Xfinity or Verizon Fios
