Were you detecting an advantage attributed to your more powerful gear and weapons? Did the experience feel different than standard Crucible combat?

UPDATE: I know people quit games when they know they won't win. I'm more curious about your perceptions for how the power-level advantages work. Help me help you. Stay on target!

Considering my only pvp experience beforehand was reluctantly doing the daily for 15 marks, where I went in and didn't care much for the result. I actually had a lot of fun in the IB. I only did it on my Warlock because lazy and I was only really after the rank 5 shader and pulse rifle. I had the legs and pulse rifle drop for me as well as a faction ship which was a nice surprise. Ended up buying the shader and a bond as a souvenir. Balance wise, I think might light level carried me a bit which was nice (and I'm really bad so it helped a lot). I didn't feel over powered but I did do a lot better than I usually do in crucible. Despite my luck with drops I did notice a lack of items dropping for everyone in general. Could use some work. Also haven't seen anything apart from what is for sale dropping. That might keep more people interested for longer. All in all I'm happy and look forward to the next one, and my first attempt at trials
