Fuck no. If that's the case we would all want Locke to kill chief. I'm glad it isn't.
Bungie's got a new game. Keep them over there, away from halo 5.

Exactly, that's what I'm saying, is that we may see Chief die in this Halo and be replaced by Locke
-
Your thought on the plot isn't what I'm getting at btw, just the personification of chief as bungie
if....I'm usomg that word right. Been awhile since I used it and I'm lazy to make sure I used it right lol
-
No. Chief is the guy halo fans root for. By saying bungie is chief, you change that. I don't root for bungie. Not after that garbage destiny and all that came with it
except this wonderful app =)
Take that garbage outa here plz
-
Yeah but here's the thing, we didn't want to see Bungie go, did we? Halo 4 was possibly the shittiest Halo game to date and was made by 343, meanwhile all the Halo games before that were almost loved universally. In just saying that the Bungie which Chief represents is pre-Deshitty Bungie, not the current Bungie
-
If you want proof on how bad balance was, simply look at each iteration of slayer starts. After CE, they just went downhill dude. H3 has the shittiest of them all. Br starts was the only real way to play. Otherwise the Br was a damn power weapon on the map. H5s AR and magnum starts are so much better than the broken dual weilding for example.
-
Lots of what h4 has is also inspired by H-reach though bro. If bungie made H4, it would have been even worse imo. They're fucking terrible at game balance too. H4 got rekt cause of dumb stuff like ordnance and armor abilities but post tune for weapons balance was really good, but loadouts cause havoc.
-
But I'm not talking about balance here, I'm talking about Campaign. I don't give two shits about the multiplayer when it comes to the symbolism
-
I give 5 shits about balance. It's pretty damn important to me man. As far as h5 campaign, I mean I'm positive chief will die or retire or something at some point. I don't give 2 shits about bringing up bungie in terms of halo 5, a game by 343i though. I've had fun in bungie's halos and still play halo 2 on mcc. I just don't care much for this idea you've got here. For the reasons I've already said. Now stop making me want to cancel my pre order damnit!
just kidding man. About that last bit. Sorry for the harshness
-
No problem man, always up for a good debate. I typically do care about balance, as I play Deshitty fairly often, it's just in this case it's not particularly important
-
I get you man. I basically stopped playing destiny because the lack of campaign having important memorable characters and experiences, as well as the severely unbalanced multiplayer. I heard it's gotten better but I don't think it will ever be how I expected it would at the beginning. The co op wasn't bad though. Just the fact that multiplayer is tied with everything kinda ruins the game for me. I can see where your idea is coming from though. =( but I'm too stuborn to admit it at first! I conserve my man tears damnit. Chief is like a homie to me. Touchè......a tear has fallen. T_T
-
If you check my account it easy to tell I play Deshitty a lot, but it's more like a cocaine addiction than anything. I'll have fun every once in a while, but more often than not it's like a chore
-
If you have fun bro, who cares what anyone else thinks. I kinda rag on the game a lot cause it wasn't to my liking, but in no way should anyone feel ashamed to say they have fun playing it. I'm not trying to imply that is how I took it, but....kinda in general I just mean...we all like different types of games. I deffinitley hear ya on that chore feeling though. So weird. I stopped right after I felt that way.

Exactly, Reach was their last game, so they didn't give two shits about it being broken, because they wouldn't take the fall for it, and 343 would have to save the series from them -blam!-ing it over.
