Not going to happen. Unfortunately, EULA's are drafted to protect the company for liability and they are not going to build in something in the EULA/T&C's that may expose them to legal liability down the road if they DO decide to make the business decision to sell items NOT cosmetic in nature. It is just unrealistic to think that Bungie would do that.
The best way to handle this situation is that if they offer more than cosmetic items, vote with your wallet. Quit the game and do not support them financially. On a small scale, it won't make a difference, but if enough people stick together and do this, it will hurt their bottom line and they will be forced to alter their stance. Or the game will die. Either way.

Of course its the whole point of asking for a commitment, Bungie is free to promise the moon and there is zero downside to their lying when they fail to deliver since public statements on social media are not legally binding. Asking them to esentially [b]"put up or shut up"[/b] is the only way to force them to be honest about their true intentions. An objection to add it is a clear statement that they in fact have the intention of advancing towards the dreaded Pay2Win.
