I think year 1 exotics are still available from year 1 raids and PoE.

Of course they are. The three of coins doesn't always trigger for year 1 content. We went through Hard Crota with a coins buff at the start and had it still when arriving back at the tower. As a casual gamer one would have to chose between getting relevant items to further your ability in the game or go for gear that is outdated and non functional in current modes. Allowing those options doesn't take away from the fact that you would still need to do work. You would still have to pay for the items via grind of some fashion. Doing raids and PoE is fine, for a truely casual gamer, they are a pain in the rear. Destiny has no good LFG function for those features. Matchmaking is nice for strikes. It is a shame that it isn't offered for the raids or at least a lobby for that.

Well.... I don't know. You can't have your cake and eat it too? There are raid finders. And with the new max level that stuff should be easier than ever.

I'm not talking about a cake or death situation. I'm not making suggestions on raid finders or saying they don't exist. There are more than enough players who are making those suggestions. I'm just suggesting alternatives which won't have any real impact on game play while providing people an outlet for currency. That 200 cap on legendary marks comes up quick. You would think that it would be easier, but if it is, only marginally. The benefit is more to do with gear than level. Ex. same gear load out on a level 41 monster dmg = ~14k. Same monster and gear at level 14? ~700. They did a decent job on their scaling algorithm. A 300 light character wearing a year 1 item drops them to 288, so it isn't really worthwhile to use it in that regards. Another example: I have a year 2 no back up plan, no year 1. I still have to find it. Why not be able to spend 125 legendary marks to be able to unlock the year 1? (I wouldn't use it, hell, I don't even use year two).

Tldr. Peace.
