Why? I mean, I'm all for it. One doesn't have to pay for these and the boost it will give the player won't be applied to pvp. I see no reason not to, as it would help fund the servers.

What you don't understand is this company has PLENTY of money and they do not need anymore. Let's be honest it's greed, and a way to see how much money they can milk out our wallets
-
And let's get one thing straight, it's not just destiny guys like you are complaining about. It's having to pay for something that you don't need but want in a game. I'm getting sick of seeing all you cluttering the forums everywhere I go. Without the funds servers die. The games you all love playing become so broken to the point that no one plays anymore and it soon becomes a forgotten memory.

That's a big assumption to say in the least. Server costs, maintainance, development costs, groceries and bills. That's what our money go towards. As stated, these micro transactions are up to you to spend. They do not take away from the overall game play. So unless you want to pay additional expenses on top of everything else, these micro transactions are necessary to keep them afloat.

I spent hours trying to finish oryx and someone pays to get gear at the same level ruins the game. It makes it harder to find quality players takes away from such a large accomplishment and overall devalues what we have to work so hard to earn. I'm not some elitist who was upset that iron banner offered max light level gear I just want all max level gear to be earned in some form not purchased
-
When I looked, iron banner had 290 and below gear. Back to the original topic, no one stated Max level gear, just gear to get you ahead. Even so, you'd be able to inspect a guardian, and seeing how micro transactions have worked, if you pay directly for this gear it will be a buy only gear, labeling you as a pay to play player. So if that's what you are worried about, then you should look more into micro transactions. It's that or a 15 dollars a month subscription to bungie on top of the price for Xbox gold use.
