Personally I'd love to see Ridley Scott direct my biopic. Between Black Hawk Down, Alien, Gladiator, Blade Runner, and now The Martian, the man can do no wrong.
the man can do no wrong.
Uhhhh, Prometheus?
Though in fairness, that was probably a studio thing. They always shave up to an hour off his movies. Maybe in 10 years there will be an awesome director's cut. Speaking of, check out the Kingdom of Heaven director's cut. Completely different movie.
I loved Prometheus and I can't wait for the sequel. And yes, the director's cut of Kingdom of Heaven is phenomenal. Sure it beefs up the film's already almost 3 hour run time, but it is totally worth it.

The version of Prometheus that exists is loaded with a ridiculous amount of holes. There's zero understandable character motivation. Hardly anything anybody says or does in the film makes any sense. It's either shit writing or a very large amount of cut dialogue. The film as it stands does not measure up to other Scott films.
