Nah, see i agree partially with this comment.
But this quest was so damn lame. It was a rehash of a bunch of missions with different rewards at the end. No lore, no scenes, no voice over. I finished it in one sitting after work with my biggest chunk of time wasted sitting on mars waiting for public events.
So really whether timelocked or not this quest has so far been really disappointing.
Most of the quest related missions are disappointing, just purely because it's all rehash.
To your point, yeah sure having it all on day one would ruin the playing timeframe and we would all be gone by now to other games.
But my god for this of all weapons the quest has been lame as -blam!-.

OK, just saying, if this quest was super long and hard you would still be complaining
-
Well that's a pointless statement now isn't it I just killed an ultra fallen shank to receive (not build) a fully built weapon frame lol Yay for bungie
-
Can you name a game that is living and breathing with better options as examples to follow? This game is actually being molded every day. No one has a real clue where this quest is going and yet butt hurts are crying. Over what exactly? Do you want your static single player game with payed for multiplayer maps with absolutely no growth or changing at all? Just trying to understand the crying over a game that keeps evolving and adapting from month to month. I mean, if you have a better version, by all means, build it. If it spotless and amazing, people will buy it and you will be rich.
-
That's so off topic i won't even....... The quest has started off garbage and limited by a content time lock that bungie controls. You make you're own judgement i don't care.
-
How is it off topic. In order to complain I figured you have a better version to compare said scenario to. My point is, you are crying over a "quest" of which is not over yet. That is like crying over how bad breakfast is while eating dinner. That is why I asked for examples off of current console games. The whole point, if you paid attention, was to find ways to keep this game breathing on a weekly basis. They are doing it. Why so salty over it? I did not put down your crying, I just asked you to explain your tears with good examples.
-
And tell me something. I'm going to assume you're ok with this quest in it's current format for hypothesis sake. The quest was started up by us finding those random dropped fusion rifle cores or w.e they were and turning them in. They had no form of story behind them, no audio, no relevance until someone from bungie said in a weekly post 4 weeks later that "hey remember those thingys you guys kept picking up, well lol". The quest we got today as of so far. Was simply a loot n shoot lolfest. No lore no relevance to anything until we all figured it out, and THEN bungie told us what it was for. Still with me? So now we are stuck in a lore limbo where nothing makes sense all we have done is grind bungies ridiculous unexplainable quests that have lead to something POSSIBLY amazing, we will never know. But now we are at the part i am salty about. Finishing todays quest has lead to nothing, has unlocked nothing, has described nothing. We must wait until bungie decide they are ready to allow us to finish said quest. It has no link to anything we have done, it is simply when bungie says so. Do you not see a problem with this?
-
I see it as at least someone is trying to keep breathing life into a game that has the best fps controls to date. I personally like the mystery. I also believe nothing will be as simple as what we encountered thus far. Yes, it could be but, I have found enough interesting information about all individuals involved due to researching about the sleeper simulant. I have had great conversations and tons of ideas. If, let's say, Wednesday we all show up in the tower and there it is, the sleeper simulant... Will I be deflated by all of this? A little but, at its core, the addicting gameplay, the core group of friends I have that log in daily and we all help each other do all sorts of stuff, get frustrated, laugh, gab for hours on end, that is what is important. You have put a crap ton of hours into this game... Maybe you are just getting cranky. I understand your point and I have been frustrated with this game before several times but, it's just a game. One we are all evolving with.
-
I just got the sleeper simulant about an hour ago. After doing the fallen saber strike. (Another rehash). That about sums up my destiny experience after finishing the raid and getting touch of malice. But honestly yes i have had way too much game time lol. Good thing i had fun debating this with you good sir so i thank you :)
-
P.s i don't care about your question about finding better examples. There are plenty idgaf. This is my issue with what I'm talking about. Examples are irrelevant to the dicussion apart from nostalgia purposes.
-
What? Breakfast? What are you talking about. If i complained about tomorrow's breakfast while having today's dinner that would entail i have indeed not had a portion of breakfast yet. But the start of bungie's half assed quest was more like having one portion of my cereal and then having it taken away until we are allowed to have the next portion. Do you see how that makes more sense?
-
The quest isn't over, i hope you realized that ... How can you say its all lame when you have not finished it ?
-
It's not over yes i know that. But if this is how it started my standards are low for the rest of it. See the issue here?
-
We will see, but dont you cry if its like chaperone quest :D
-
I honestly wouldn't really care. I haven't even started the chaperone quest. Just give us a proper god damn quest! :)
-
Chaperone quest is insane, you need 100 points in pvp, when you kill someone you get 1 point and when hou die you loose 2, so even with a k/d of 2.00 you get no points ... So more than 2.00 and than it goes only slowly up But anyway, what do you think is a good quest, one with more lenght ore higher difficult ?
-
Chaperone quest is extremely easy
-
Ok, you were right, SS quest is a bad joke :D
-
For some people its easy, but for very much its to hard ... I could do it too, but i dont need it
-
A quest for example the lord shaxx crucible quest is just ridiculous. But I'm undecided whether it's ridiculous in a good way or bad way lol. The rewards need to dictate the efforts. Plus lol crucible
-
And last word has to be equiped
-
What do you think is a good quest ? More lenght or more difficulty ?
-
It depends if a lengthy quest actually involves the players application to the lore. Or if it's lengthy because bungie decided we can't have the next part until they say so because they're scared we will leave after next week. Difficulty can come in different ways. The code deciphering idea was cool, but that was so god damn basic it wasn't even funny. Killing enemies...........(lol dafuq)
-
It should have been a random code :D so everyone needs to solve it alone :D maby with some hints after some time when gou cant figure it out ...
-
I like you're thinking :) I would've even gone for a timed artifact decipher phase. Like in gta where a team of 4 go into a base One deciphers a laptop while the other 3 kill waves. The longer it takes the harder the waves get and eventually you just wipe. The code cracker has around 10 phases to go through each getting more difficult (rasputin trolls you hard).
