Guardian back stories

Bungie supposedly has a 10 year plan for destiny which means we are going to be spending a lot of time with our characters. But unfortunately bungie doesn't give any room to give depth to our guardians. So, have you given your guardians names and a back story? If you have share below, it's interesting to see everyone's characters so if you have a picture of you guardian share that too!

Journal Entry 01: Beginning From the Slums ~~~ I awoke from an abyss of darkness to the shining rays of the sun. My name is Anzuno, a hunter who lived among the chaos that was the city. My family and community rejected me due to my beliefs and practices in the darkness and traveler. But one day, they learned to fear me and respect me for what I would become. One day , while I was scurrying about in the city, Executor Hideo arrived looking for a champion of people so they can grow their support and strength. They announced that they would have a tournament will take place in the crucible. Journal Entry 02: The Start of The End ~~~ Upon arriving , I realized I was the only one who arrived to The location. Executor Hideo greeted me and handed me an auto rifle and told me to take a ship north and land there to begin. Confused , i asked what about the the others, and he simply told me I was to fight trained guardians and if I prevailed I would become the new champion of new monarchy. Hesitant, I nodded and headed to my designated area. There I found three set ups, one said Hunter , Titan and Warlock but the Hunter package called to me. In it I found a sniper, knives and grenades. I packed as much as I could and began my the tournament. Journal Entry 03: The Reaper Rises ~~~ I had to eliminate 3 targets at least and I would make it through. I saw a sign that read " European deadzone" and that's when a sniper brushed past my ear. I immediately dived for cover and saw there were two snipers on a platform with blinding red lights. One sniper shot through the pillar I was hiding behind and pierced my leg. I screamed in pain but did not waver from my position instead I threw a grenade to the wall causing smoke to pump away. The snipers began shooting through the smoke but stopped after a point to reload. I too that chance to throw another trip mine in between the two snipers and shot it with my auto rifle. I saw two bodies fly and ghost float in their previous location. Suddenly a bolt of fire hit me burning me intensely. A shadowed figure appeared in front of me as I tried crawling to my feet. A warlock it seemed like it and covered in black gear laughed and mocked me saying I was worthless and could never be apart of new monarchy. Anger rose through me but I was helpless. He stepped on my leg that was wounded and held his gun to my head with the cheesy line "any last words" I glared at him intensely and said "warlock your time is done " Journal Entry 03: continues ~~~ He was confused for a second and that all I needed. I pulled the knife from my Pocket and launched it directly to his throat. He choked and fell instantly. I sighed in relief when I was blinded by a strong light. The warlock had resurrected and hate took over him. He grabbed me and threw me to a tree that snapped in half instantly. I felt my bones shatter, I knew I was going to die. He then proceeded to punch me repeatedly until I was left with an inch of my life. I was dazed my face broken into a jigsaw puzzle but something in me fought. I sensed a dark force take over me. I chuckled as he began squeezing my head. "What's so funny?!" He asked. I grinned with teeth missing from my mouth and said "bo--om" my grenades fell over and exploded causing a giant blast of heat and flames to consume us. His ghost did not appear and his bodies laid dismembered across the place and I died as well. Of course upon my revival, Executor Hideo granted me my title as "The New Monarchy Reaper"

    • Hey so I'm not writing a story, but rather curious on some LORE. Did anyone scan stuff about old guardians? I think I was doing a mission on earth inside the SABER stuff and I scanned a screen mentioning that an old guardian must have awoken Rasputin manually. There was also a pod on the ship that has the stealth drive. Ghost mentions he wanted to revive him since he was so powerful. SO my question is, where are the old guardians? How powerful are they? Does anyone know any concrete facts on the golden age guardians? Maybe I missed some item's flavor text or some scans. I believe they are out there, I don't trust the traveler either.

    • NOTE: I ignore "A Guardian Rises" for most of my characters' backstories. For Awoken Guardians, it makes no sense at all that they were in the Cosmodrome. My Awoken Hunter, Kiara Pel, was a young woman when the Darkness hit. Like most children of the Golden Age, she was innocent and perhaps a bit superficial, but she possessed courage and intellect. She would need both for what was coming. She was among the original Awoken, the people who flew ships off into the dark and were mysteriously transformed in the interplanetary graveyard that became the Reef. 80 years after the Darkness hit, she was part of a mission sent to Mars to search for useful supplies for the expanding number of Awoken. However, she found a nest of Vex, which quickly overwhelmed her team. being the leader of the mission, she sacrificed herself to allow the others to escape, and died under the Vex's boots. 280 years after that, a Ghost found her bleached bones, half-buried in the sand. One mysterious revive later, she was reborn as a fearsome huntress. She gave her allegiance to the City, and later to the New Monarchy. Having lived through the Golden Age, she wanted to restore it. She only lasted a short time as a gunslinger, preferring the invisible ways of the Bladedancer. She continues to walk that path today.

    • Daine, Awoken female Titan. (sorry if this doesn’t follow along the historical records of the collapse.) During days of the collapse, Daine was a young teen-age soldier who followed a mysterious group of woman only known as Siniy Smert, or "Blue Death" in Russian. They were called this because as legend has it, their leader’s city and family were massacred by the fallen so she vowed to fight them. She wore the blue uniform that belonged to her husband and when word of her crusade spread, other women with similar pasts joined and fought alongside with her. In solidarity with their leader, they also wore blue. During the collapse, the band of women were not only fierce fighters but also protectors. They would defend and help civilians escape. During their final battle, they had just gotten a group of people away from the cosmodrome when the fallen attacked. Greatly outnumbered, they were overwhelmed and were all killed. Upon being revived by her ghost, Daine has few memories of her past but the most vivid is wearing blue and fighting the fallen. During her travels she has been joined by other female warriors – titans, warlocks, and hunters alike. They have also taken to wearing blue armor in memory of the long ago fighters. Daine now has become Blue Death and takes the fight to all the enemies of the light.

    • Hunter by the name of attu (means wolf in some language Arabic, I think) Unlisted in the u.s.m.c at 18 and made a career in the field of infantry man, he's on leave and was visiting a girl he'd taken a liking to in Russia when he was warned of the CARRHAE WHITE event, (code issued by Rasputin at the beginning of the collapse) and was put on guard duty of the nearby cosmodrome, he assisted a small team of marines and Russian soldiers in defense of the colony ships during the mass exodus. Was wounded in a last ditch effort to halt the darkness's advance, and forced the remaining men under his command to leave him at the walls gate to keep his team from being left behind on the last outbound ship

    • I pretty much disregarded the prologue mission for their back stories so they could have differing origins, though my main's revival and flight to the city was pretty similar. My main is a Hunter called Armin-18. He has no memory of anything before he was reforged in Light, which may have something to do with the great hole in his head that never gets fixed no matter how many times he is resurrected. His Ghost found him in Old Russia, but far from any of its Cosmodromes. He is very competent in the field, but once got lost in the Tower. At any one time he is either Amanda Holliday's favourite person or biggest pain. Armin is generally well liked in the Tower for his willingness to take on the crappy assignments no one else wants, though his disinterest in glory is something of a sticking point with Shaxx. His luck is truly atrocious, with the single exception of his performance in Cayde's dice games. Armin enjoys long patrols on the Forgotten Shore and harassing Fallen crews. The House of Winter in particular has designated him a preferred target. My Warlock is human called Meera Pratibha. I have fleshed out her backstory in rather more detail.
Meera Pratibha was born near the end of the Golden Age to a multilingual family of artisans and scholars in the Atlantic Archipelago. Growing up, she expressed a particular fascination with the Traveller, in its history and powers. Excelling in school, Meera was eventually accepted by several major institutions of higher learning throughout the solar system, including the Jovian Institute on Ganymede and the Ishtar Academy on Venus. Ultimately she elected to remain on Earth while earning her degree in Light Studies and Axiomatic Post-Paradigm Physics, and so studied for eight years at Ellsworth University, Antarctica, and earned her doctorate in another six aboard the Ranginui Research Station in lunar orbit. Meera’s illustrious career took her to the edge of the system and back again. She marvelled at the bizarre alien ruins that seemed to retcon themselves into existence on Venus, taught students in the gardens of Mercury, and witnessed the Gathering at Charon, as humanity and their exo children began preparations for its first ever interstellar foray. She was aboard the Andhra-Pradesh Trans-Orbital Spire when it happened. She can still recall the experience with diamond clarity. The surprise as the Spire’s safety protocols shut down all vertical travel. The nauseous lurch of the spire as the Traveller suddenly moved to an unknown vector. The horror as the moon was engulfed in shadow. The shock as the Warmind’s polyhedrals rapidly mobilised, then withdrew just as suddenly, abandoning them to their fate. The ear-splitting drumfire as the Spire suffered a barrage of powerful impacts launched from an unseen assailant, the metal and carbon of its support structure twisting, corrupted by an alien tune. The last thing she knew was the extraordinary G-forces of the Spire, glittering tower of the Indus Consortium, crashing to Earth, wreathed in the flames of re-entry. Centuries later, Doctor Meera Pratibha opened her eyes again. All around her were green trees, blue sky, corroded ruins, an oppressive tropical heat, and a frankly offensive humidity. A strange mechanical eyeball drifted before her, calling itself her “Ghost” and proceed to furnish her with a bizarre yet curiously vague info-dump that she barely followed in her punch-drunk, recently resurrected state. In time she began to feel the Light that she had studied in her First Life coursing through her, as Meera was no longer only of flesh. By the time the sun had set she had recalled her original death and with her Ghost calculated by both the stars and the sun her precise location on Earth, somewhere deep in the jungles of Eastern Ghats that had reclaimed the ruins of the Golden Age Space-Elevator. A region which, according to Prakash, was host to something called “devils” and “fallen kings”. Meera’s talents as a Warlock developed quickly as she battled unarmed against the occupying aliens as she journeyed north, into the Urals. Three years after her revival she rolled up to the gates of the Last City on a ruined Pike, and was finally escorted to the Tower to be formally inducted into the Guardian Vanguard. She has since struck up a strong friendship with Ikora Rey and occasionally working with her Hidden, and entering into the Praxic Order. However, the skills she learned alone in the wilderness gave her a unique (for a Warlock) appreciation of the talents of Hunters, and though she gets to work with them in the field less often than she would like, she maintains many contacts amongst their number and takes full advantage of their abilities and proclivities to pursue the agendas her role as a Guardian and Praxic Warlock demands. Many hunters have found themselves cross-examined by her, tasked with retrieving unusual items from the field or even been recruited for full-scale missions and strikes. A few long-suffering souls, like the Hunter Armin-18, can claim to have been repeatedly asked to accompany Meera on one of her personal forays into some hell or another, and despite their half-serious complaining have never once contemplated turning her down. That is not the Hunter way, a fact that Meera takes full advantage of. Meera typically dresses in Praxic robes, her gloves, boots and photic hood varies by occasion, as does her shader. She still favours the shock pistol sidearm she recovered from her first ever dreg kill, now heavily modified and marked by field repairs. She now also wields an Adept Messenger pulse rifle, a subtle indicator of her prowess in an arena she rarely has time for.
My Titan is an Awoken by the name of Lor Vaesna . She was a member of the Corsairs during the Reef War against the House of Wolves, and was killed in battle when her Vesta Galliot was hit by a Skiff during the Seige of Pallas and her cockpit de-pressurised. Years later her wrecked starship was found by a lost Ghost, and subsequently recovered by Armin-18. Her loyalties are torn between the Reef and the City, as she is conflicted by her love for her people and for her Queen, and her new-found status as a Guardian. Seeing her alive now and filled with Light can be a difficult experience for the Awoken soldiers who once knew her, such as Petra Venj, who had already grieved her loss and moved on from it, and know that she cannot truly rejoin them. To cope, she throws herself fully into Vanguard missions and Crucible matches, usually accompanied by Armin, who has taken her under his wing. Though her combat skills are first-rate owing to her days as a Corsair, her command of the Light is still spotty. She hates the Wolves with a fiery passion, their killing of her is what separated her from the Reef. That ire has recently extended to the Hive.
