How bout we make it so the arrow functions reasonably instead of having to use a 3rd super that requires pre-planning of someones possible path of movement.
-
well sure if you honestly lack the brain capacity to consider travel time when firing a bow and arrow lol

Edited by OpaPaNaX: 10/3/2015 7:17:19 AMYou wanted him to pre-plan even further ahead of what he already had done. That grenade toss was already a fairly good anticipation for the Titan popping out. Now you want him to use his super even further ahead of time and hope the Titan happens to not see it and completely avoid or just shoot the orb cause you know that's a thing as well.. He hit the dude directly. It should've shut him down instantly instead he gets a full 2-3 seconds to realize he's hit react and fire. This isn't even the worst offending video floating around showing the excessive delay on direct hits. Another shows the Titan completely ignoring the suppression/tether as neither ever takes affect.
-
that was a glitch. and as soon as you heard the the hammer sound he should've fired his bow the tethers would've grabbed him.
-
If the non suppression is a glitch shouldn't it be addressed then instead of forcing the player to use a half-assed workaround. Again shooting early still has issues. As 1 the Titan could of seen the orb and simply shot a hammer to destroy it. 2) He still has to guess on the Titans path of movement fairly sized map. The Titan had plenty of room to manuver around and if tethered it's not hard to break range of the tethers if you're already on the boundaries. If the orb could not be destroyed it may be less of a risk of wasting the super firing early but it's not like that so damned if he does damned if he don't. Simply..... a direct hit should instantly suppress. If it's not going to kill can we at least get that right?
-
I don't believe a support class should have that much firepower to immediately kill someone with a direct hit when they're using a mobile super especially a sunbreaker. leave that to nova bomb, fist of havoc aka high burst damage supers. giving the bow a kill on direct hit on a sunbreaker would be silly considering how fast and accurately it can be shot. now as for the video. it's obvious the Hunter knew exactly where the Titan was hiding he could've fired his bow on the ground next to the titan as soon as he heard the hammer. it would snare him as he's walking out no?
-
But it's not just a support class, is it? Nightstalker has many perks that are geared towards ambush tactics, more so than the other Hunter subclasses.

Edited by OpaPaNaX: 10/3/2015 7:51:30 AMSo should a direct hit with the bow surpress instantly if it's a non-lethal to supered targets? Again he's hiding behind the wall exactly where? Do you see all the area behind that corner? That's what I'm saying about walking around the orb. But this is all situational when the bottom line issue is direct hits not causing instant negation of abilities.
-
I do agree that a direct hit should suppress an enemy immediately. but the tether itself should still delay
-
That's exactly what we've been trying to say.
-
but it shouldn't kill an armored target on direct hit. just suppress and the tether (not the suppressing factor) should still be delayed.
-
Also what we're going for.
-
-
That's all we are looking for. Ty for using reasoning.
-
but then there's is also the factor that unlike other burst supers. shadow shot has the longest range, is the fastest and can be fired 3 consecutive times. with a fist of havoc you might come up short in range and nova bomb might not do enough damage if you get them only on the edge of the blast radius. same with FoH shadow shot Is always gonna be a direct hit because of the aim assist I would think. but idk
-
It uses a pinpoint aiming reticle(sp?) and is super touchy. It's a bitch aiming that thing which is why OP's shot was an impressive one.
-
I have a buddy who's always tellin me about the aim assist and how the arrow tracks a little bit so I just took his word for it,
-
No it does track a bit. There isn't a large degree of correction like you wont see a shot bend around a corner like Axiom bolt. The surface area of the arrow itself is rather small. Shots will land at a targets ankle easily.
