In the attached video they use the strategy to where they take down only one orb per wave and put in some serious DPS! Is this ideal?! Or do you feel the strategy where they shoot down all 6 is key?!?
I really want to discuss the fastest and most ideal strategies so can beat this raid QUICKLY!

1 orb is for the idiots who can't coordinate
-
2 Replies1 orb 3+ Spindles Epic loot chest dancing
-
1= 2-3 runs
-
With my team I only do left and we get it done within 5 mins just saying
-
1 orb is easier but I doubt that works on hard mode so why not be better prepared and do 2 gazers?
-
1 ReplyNeed 5 golgoroth checkpoint ( must be experienced ) psn slingshotnerd

Shoot him
-
1 ReplyYou can two man it with the one orb strategy.
-
I do 2 orbs with my team. 1st orb 4 people shooting, when we start doing the 2nd orb 1 of the gazers jump in aswell We kill him in 2 rotations 95% of the time
-
I can honestly say that I never even thought of the 1 orb thing... Then again everyone in my team is really good. Seven never had problems and we beat it on day 1.

18 Replies1 orb strategy is for groups who are uncomfortable with the actual mechanics of the fight and need to take the easy way out. It is very simple and pretty effective. 6 orb strategy is for groups who know what they're doing and can actually communicate. It feels very rewarding to get all 6 bubbles in a solid rotation and see that you've done 70% of his health bar in one go. If I had to guess, 6 orb strategy is capable of killing him slightly faster, simply because you don't have to waste time waiting for adds and killing them every time, you only ever have to kill them twice. I really hope Bungie makes it to where you pretty much have to do 6 bubble strategy in hard mode, the one bubble strategy is just boring to me

4 is best, gotta make a half circle, got him down in 2....phases?
-
I just 5 manned this fight earlier with no real issue other than Golgoroth being stupid and not giving the gaze for whatever reason. Friend of mine and I just juggle him right next to each other as we slowly move around the room. Finished it in 2 1/3 cycles. Could do it in less with 6 people and the game working properly. Never bothered trying the 1 orb strat because the juggling works fine and apparently is way faster.

The 1-Orb strategy works just fine and gives you plenty of enemies to get fresh ammo supplies. I would expect that The Tablet of Ruin in heroic mode will be a far more punishing mechanics that takes note when you lose the gaze.
-
Do 6 orbs, can kill him on the the 2nd or 3rd on the second rotation. Saves about 4 minutes of killing adds and makes the fight more fun.
-
25 RepliesShooting 1 orb is only advisable if your team totally sucks at the game.
-
11 Repliesanyone ever get a helmet drop from golgoroth?! Or helmet in general... That Titan an warlock raid helm thoooooooooo
-
5 RepliesBest strategy: Kill him back....yesssss?
-
Use 3 orbs and have a guy at the entrance and one at the back have the back guy grab it first then use that time to shoot down the orb then have the door guy grab it again and the door guy is the only gazer who moves bottom right the bottom left to mid left then everyone gets out repeat 2-3 times very good
-
10 RepliesJust thought of this, but would a warlock gaze runner be best? You can Stormtrance and hit the boss, adds, and projectiles he shoots all at once. Unless it doesn't hit projectiles.
-
I will tell you right now the 1 orb trick is the absolutely best way to go. It is the most reliable method and with sufficient dps you can kill golgoroth in 3-5 runs.
-
3 Replies1 orb strat is a bit more reliable. ~TheGreatNike
-
1 Orb if your group has the dps.
-
3 RepliesThe one orb is good now. I have a feeling that with Heroic mode it will be necessary for more than one gaze grabber and orb though.
-
1 ReplyOne orb per way worked far better for me. Much simpler too with more people doing DPS
-
3 Replies1 Gaze
