"rather than rely on the community like they have been for the last year to find their glitches."
That's a failure on your part to understand how game development works then. Devs can't possibly find every single bug/glitch, they actually do rely on the community to help fix things. This is just about how all games work buddy, why do you think there is even a thing called updates or patches?
"With anything like this, why bother grinding for new discoveries if the next day their just gonna take it away because sorry we programmed that wrong and didn't know it?"
Well hopefully that doesn't happen and that they are more careful about it. Either way, it's still an Exotic and a awesome one at that regardless of stat value, they aren't supposed to be easy to get.

Nope, I fully understand how game development works. If they want us to find the bugs, that's fine, but don't take away from us for doing it. Like I said, if they want to nerf it, then nerf it, but only future drops, not a lot of people have the time to grind 2, 5, 7, 10 hours to beat a mission for a great weapon, and some did because it is exactly that, a great weapon. And now that work is being taken away, and if they drop that patch right away some of those people will not be able to at least take the opportunity to infuse it to something else. If they're gonna nerf it I at least want the time to do that, however if they do it now I won't because I'm at work, and the time I spent last night could've been used on the raid getting weapons/armor that won't get nerfed. Well that's exactly what's happening. Regardless of whether or not it should've been there, it was there, and if we already earned it, don't nerf it. This is indeed an awesome gun at any stat, I'm sure at 290 dps is still gonna be greater than more powerful weapons. And I don't think by any means it was easy, for some people, sure, but I think for most it was an enduring task that felt great upon completion if they were so lucky. With all that said, I'm against the nerf for those who've gotten it already. But I feel it's unlikely they'll change their mind and nerf across the board.

It's more of a fix than a nerf for something that was never supposed to happen. Doesn't matter if some coder entered the numbers 310, it wasn't supposed to be 310 period. That's the whole issue here. You just have to accept that this was never supposed to happen, you'll feel a lot better about the situation once you do.

Accidents happen, in the end whether or not it was supposed to, it happened. And a the sole reason many people worked for it was for that value. And now a vast majority of people feel like they've wasted a ton of time going for a weapon that is gonna just randomly drop to 290. I spent a fraction of the time in the nightfall and acquired a 290 last word. The former felt well deserved. And that won't happen.

I totally understand that and i feel bad for those players. Yes, it did happen and Bungie is fixing what should not have happened, they aren't in the wrong for trying to fix this, it's their job. Hopefully this doesn't happen again though.

It is there job, but these are things they should take into consideration before defaulting something everybody legitimately earned. This wasn't an exploit by any means. Maybe it being in the kiosk for 300 could be considered one, but I'm not even concerned with that. But given the circumstances, I still feel all the Spindles that have already been acquired should remain 310. I was more excited at beating that than beating Golgoroth for the first time or virtually anything else in the game thus far just based on the sheer difficultly of killing everything in 10 min. I think the light level for that section is easily 300+. Cause at 293-295 pending my weapons, I was constantly ginger. I know it's their job, but that was significantly harder than a nightfall, worth more than 290. If 310 is too high then I'd settle at 300 but not 290. Then my work and that of many others would show something for our efforts. Rather it stay at 310 though, but that's just me. And it probably will, unfortunately.
