It's breaking the game. It's allowing users to have much higher attack special weapons than they should currently have. It's also an exotic version of a highly sought after year one weapon for a task that is not that time consuming (assuming that you are appropriately leveled).
You have to complete one hard mission. You don't have to clear crotas end and "hope" you get one. You don't have to do a quest line for it, you don't even have to complete a strike. 1 mission, on hard and it's guaranteed to drop at the highest attack out of any other current exotic.
It's broken. Infuse it and move on.

Edited by Gunslinger93: 9/28/2015 7:37:33 PMI'm assuming you neglected to read the entirety of my comment before responding, because I stated clearly that I did infuse the weapon and am not personally effected. I also assume that you either did not get the weapon in question or that you are unfamiliar with the Crota Raid, as this was a much more difficult task than the entirety of Crota's End. Your arguments about the weapon being game breaking are not rational. Equipping it raised my light level by one point, hardly allowing me to breeze through other PvE activities. It is not a weapon well-suited to crucible play either. Thanks for sharing your views, but they seem to be motivated more by some emotional response than by logic. My point is that for DeeJ/Bungie to aggressively address this issue in this way at this time is demoralizing and unwise if their intent is to maintain the higher level of customer satisfaction they have so recently enjoyed. This point is proven by a quick review of the community response evidenced on this forum. An overwhelming majority of players have expressed their dismay at DeeJ's stance, and he would be wise to go to his bosses with this information and work to repeal it.
