You guys are all.. For lack of a better word, stupid. Its not like Deej made the decision to nerf it on his own, and it was a mistake after all. Dont shoot the messenger.
Youre all complaining that its ruining your fun. Didnt you have fun getting it? Are you having fun using it?
If you really like it that much then just keep it and boost its damage up afterwards. No need to cry, they made a mistake lol.

no. no it was not fun getting it i was a pain in the ass

No, i did not enjoy that mission at all. It's a total mess with a bullet sponge as a boss and a crazy amount of adds. The only way we found that works for beating it, is camping in the entrances an quickly peeking out too shoot, before you get hit by another blinding wave which the boss spams. I suffered through it (failing 3 times), because i heard it drops a 310 sniper that would benefit me immensely in the raid. If i knew it's light level would be lower than my current legendary sniper, i wouldn't really have bothered at all. Even if it did drop at a higher light level due too a bug, that's their error not ours. Let them own their mistake instead of dropping it on players. People that suffered through that mission, did it expecting a 310 sniper. People that do it in the future will know they'll have a choice of going through it for a 290, what's the problem with that?
-
Well said, youre right, although i do believe that bungie should have the right to fix their mistakes. Although maybe the way they fix them could be something other than lowering the light level by 20. And this isn't directed at you personally, just thought id say, if you guys aren't having fun playing the game then why play it? I personally love a challenge like this. Along with collecting guns, beating impossible missions and just wrecking everything in general is so much fun to me.
-
Sure they have the right to fix it any way they want. I even think they should fix the light level for the ones you buy from the kiosk, as it's now used for boosting other weapons, and it would be unfair towards people that can't do that. But i think lowering the attack on weapons that have already dropped, isn't a particularly friendly attitude towards your customers. The 310 light weapon in no way breaks or unbalances the game, as raid weapons can drop on that level too. It also doesn't affect crucible as damage levels are equalised there, and of course it's also more of a PVE weapon anyways. If it doesn't break or unbalance anything, why bother fixing it? It only pisses off the people that got it yesterday and doesn't really fix anything. As for your question: I do like collecting guns and playing with friends. But i mostly enjoy fights that actually require strategy and communication. Best thing in the game are the raids, and i figured getting this gun would help in the raid, so i decided too put in the effort towards it. Doesn't make the actual fight any good though. A fight i did like for example is that one you need to do last towards getting a exotic sword. Won't spoil it if you haven't done it yet, but that mission requires constant movement and communication, much better example of a fun and challenging mission. Hiding in a hallway and peeking out to shoot a bullet sponge... not that much.

Just got the quest for the exotic sword yesterday, looking forward to it! But yeah, love clearing out huge mobs as well. No better feeling than taking on an onslaught of enemies and coming out on top, for me anyways. With that being said i still havent even tried the new raid yet, got up to 295 light though so i'll be trying it soon for sure

Well said, so many whiners
-
We had no fun at all getting it...
-
No I did not having fun getting it its nothing fun about the damn bosses and captains just spamming -blam!-ing void darts and those unholy black clouds non stop. Not even counting their great aim and such it felt great getting the damn thing after putting up with that mess but now we get a thread like this kicking those of us who actually got the thing down. Though yes its mostly the ones who don't have it are defending this tho (or those who flat out just defend everything they do)
-
Then maybe destiny isnt the game for you my friend
-
Its cute that you think that please do go on.
-
I have nothing more to say as i didnt read past the first sentence of your reply.
-
You are a moron if you think beating your head against an overturned boss that REQUIRES team play in a game that has minimal matchmaking. But please, keep telling yourself you like this piece of shit. Oh and I've beaten King's Fall twice.

No, I did not have fun getting the gun. That final room on the ship was a fight and a half of utter bullshit. Took my team and I about an hour to get it, cursing and swearing the entire way because of the goddamn captains. I am, on the other hand, having a blast using it. But, when I acquired the weapon, I was over 300 light. Isn't there supposed to be a chance for your weapons and armor to decrypt/drop at 310 when you're over 300? If so, then those particular Spindles shouldn't be nerfed to 290. Running a check like they did to set your level apart from your light with Weapon Balance 2.0 shouldn't be hard. Anyone that's got a Spindle and the character it's on can reach 300+ should be exempted from the nerf. The blueprint should still drop to 280, though.

My thoughts exactly

If they nerf the gun, they need to nerf the FÛCKING ADD SPAM that takes place trying to get it. It's ridiculous and probably won't be worth it then.
