5 RepliesMy son (12) and I have have spent the last several years playing and enjoying Bungie games. We have played all of the Halo games together and last year began playing in Destiny's worlds. We have purchased, installed, and played both The Dark Below and The House of Wolves for Destiny. When I say "we" purchased, I meant I purchased, as my son cannot purchase digital content per Microsoft's rules. We have, in fact, purchased 3 copies of everything. We have one copy of Destiny with both prior DLCs for the Xbox One and two sets for Xbox 360 since we have two Xbox 360s so that we can play together. My point in all of this is that we do not mind spending money for quality entertainment and we have been loyal Bungie fans for a while. But all that has recently changed. We have been looking forward to the release of The Taken King (my son more so than me). Imagine our surprise when he could not play it after I had purchased it for him on my account. Now,imagine our even greater disgust when we discovered that this was Bungie's intent. You are specifically targeting and eliminating minors from playing your games. You have made it so that in order to play The Taken King, you have to purchase The Taken King. My son cannot purchase The Taken King, therefore he cannot play The Taken King. If he cannot play The Taken King, I have no reason to play it either. We had planned to purchase three copies (one for each of our Xboxes) and probably an additional copy when we get a second Xbox One Now we are planning to purchase no copies. If we can't make it so that he can play, then I will contact Microsoft and ask for a refund. If that doesn't work, I will be contacting my bank seeking a chargeback. This whole ordeal has completely changed our opinion of your company and the way it obviously views its customers. We have lost all respect for you. Sadly, this does not seem to matter to you and it has saddened us greatly. In addition to The Taken King, we have been counting the days until the release of Halo 5. Unfortunately, it would appear that Halo 5 will be set up like The Taken King and therefore it will be impossible for my son to play it. A future without Halo 5 is, indeed, a sad future for a twelve year old boy. So, on behalf of my son and all other twelve year old Halo and Destiny fans, shame on you Bungie.
