Simple question.
DeeJ said in an interview that he doesn't want us to look at our favorite weapon and consider it obsolete. I look at my Ballerhorn, Thorn, Dragon's Breath and...they're obsolete. Just a poll to see where the community stands. Bump so Cozmo can see.
Edit: Woke up to a billion notifications. Thanks for all the feedback. But you guys that say "Oh, well no because gjally never left my heavy slot." That's your own fault. There were plenty of decent heavies in Year One. You guys were too chickenshit to try them. Thunderlord and Dragon's Breath, in many cases, can do just as much damage as Gjally can, if not more. Especially post 2.0. And I don't care if Gjally stays in my inventory for the next ten years, I have a story with a weapon I love.
Edit 2: Seeing a lot of people being open to the idea, but leaving Gjallarhorn behind. In all honesty, I'm completely fine with this. Gjallarhorn is an amazing weapon, but it's lethality was ridiculous. As long as I can have all my other exotic weapons and armor, I'll be fine. Keep bumping and commenting! We've been trending for a while! Get Cozmo to see and comment on this!

Edited by Einstein1507: 9/21/2015 11:30:31 AMAt first I did, yes. I was outraged, I was really mad. Then I saw some of the new weapons. Even blues and purples. I realized there's so much new stuff, I should stop thinking about the old. Edit: I'm talking about exotics. Legendaries I never wanted to carry over
-
No, at least not yet. Some of those exotics were clearly OP and it's nice to not need them for a change. Maybe in the future near the end of year 2s life.

Edited by MintyCat65: 9/21/2015 11:29:00 AMHow about Destiny players being given an individual choice where they can take one exotic weapon from each class (three total) plus an exotic armour outfit up to year 2 levels. This to be done without having to grind for it. I like my Ghally and IB although the later has become a bit more of a drag to use because of the mag refresh time increase. Both weapons have played an important role in year one in everything I did in Destiny and it's a shame to have to bin everything.
-
Not everything, cus gallys would still run rampant. But I do find it super annoying that not all the earnable exotics (ie. Bounty ones) don't have Y2 versions.
-
Yes I think you should be able to. But in order to upgrade that armor and weapons you have to use the gear from the raid. I think that would be a good solution.
-
1 ReplyNO! Get over it, it will be easier for everyone.
-
-
I don't want them all, personally I will be upgrading like 10 weapons at most.
-
It's time to move on. Move on.
-
I got the splitshifter pro solar at 276 attack from the taken king off daily rift
-
I can do without Gjallahorn & IceBreaker. I enjoy using swords and the hereafter way more.
-
3 Repliesscrew the exotics just give me Fatebringer and VoC back and I will be elated! Have not even seen anything that can compare to those two weapns....even after both got nerfed with the latest patch
-
Not really. Would like the option to infuse all year 1 gear and weapons tho
-
1 ReplyI only care about the hawkmoon. Never used many exotic guns anyway... Only the bones of eos or what they called, triple jump for bladedancer, only item I really need from y1...
-
Yes I would b/c I just finished my exotic collection when I got super good advice out of a legacy engram from xur
-
Definitely the Mida at least
-
Not ALL, but certainly SOME of them. Specifically, the legendary weapons with elemental damage, and all exotics should be able to be ascended. Just my opinion.
-
2 RepliesSome are crap and i only used a few exotics in the whole of year one. Stop going on about bringing your favourite weapons into year two. I already have new favourites that piss all over my old guns. Will you still be wanting to bring your old exotics when you're playing in year 10? Adapt and move on
-
2 RepliesWhy would I want Hardlight or any other Exotic Auto Rifle when I have the Zhalo Supercell Why would I want Gjallarhorn period. Never used or needed mine!
-
I love my Gjallarhorn. I love my Thorn. And there's some armour I love too. But I want these kept as my old gear. Yes, I would like the option to up the damage and armour to Year 2 equiv, but I'm also looking forward to new ways of defeating bosses. Gone are the days of "3 GHorns and weapons of light". It should instill new tactics amongst Destiny. Kinda sucks for those who waited so long to get a GHorn though and got one from Xur like literally weeks before Year 2. Ouch.
-
I would like ice breaker
-
3 RepliesPls MIDA
-
Add the Raid Weapons too
-
It's fun with the new ones
-
Yeah because they are investing a lot of time, money, energy and recourses engineering these new weapons for players to be stuck onto their old ones. And besides, a lot of the new weapons are phasing out the old ones. Of course you want to keep them for memories or because you grinded long and hard for them. But that's your choice, at least Bungie gave us a choice to keep our old shit or not.
-
I was skeptical at first, but come on. I don't want to be ghorning and icebreaking the bosses anymore.
