I've already uninstalled it. There's no point. The whole game is a repetitive grind. I play Warframe now. And before I get people saying it's more of a grind than Destiny, go -blam!- yourselves. At least in Warframe every single thing you get, from mods to credits to resources can be used to make something. No time in Warframe is ever wasted. A lot of game time in Destiny feels wasted. Running strike after strike only to get a small amount of glimmer and some blue gear.

Not pay to win at all, buddy.
-
Not pay to win at all, buddy.
It is, and the gameplay is complete shit..
-
-
Sure, but -blam!- free to play.
-
haha why?
-
You want a paywall? Free to play is where that term came from. Always getting spammed for money every minute. Most free to play are also pay to win. Just so done with anything free to play, give me the pay option I will pay 60 for the whole game.
-
Have to agree. Every free to play game I've ever tried (LoTRO, Neverwinter, Warframe) have been super focused on their cash shops. I'd much rather pay for the game once, and be done with it.
-
Actually Warframe is quite the opposite! It's pay not to play! All paying does is give you access to thing straight away rather than resource gathering and crafting it yourself. The more rare (prime) parts are only available by playing the game or taking the paid shortcut of buying them off someone who has had the drop whilst playing. Unlike destiny which has locked 3 OP subclasses and all weapons and armour behind a £40 paywall. Now tell me which of those two games actually sounds like pay 2 win?

All the this ^

Edited by meathammer_: 9/21/2015 12:50:38 AMThe one where you pay to get rare materials. Pay to win is definitely the model warframe is designed around. Destiny ttk is not a paywall, it's an expansion you don't get access to new content unless to pay.
-
You are mistaken concerning your comment on Destiny.
-
haha ok!
-
Warframe is amazing! i've been at it for a few weeks now and still not unlocked all the planets or scratched the quests. As for the grind it feels minimal compared to destiny got quite a few prime parts ready for market too once i can be bothered to look up a youtube vid to explain the trading to me :D Kubrow eggs can f*ck off though haha
-
Best part is they don't charge for expansions. You could technically get everything for free if you were diligent enough and knew how to get the best out of trading gear for plat.
-
Without a doubt! Great concept for a game with absolutely nothing behind a paywall. Great community too, its quite strange going from a forum like here then to Warframes and seeing everyone acting civilised and helpful. At first when i was playing i was "right, whats the catch" haha and there isn't one!
-
Any game with in game trading tends to have a great community. Being an asshole won't get you anywhere.
-
That's a very good point! didn't even consider that! Don't be a dick or no-one will trade with you haha quality! I've only been reading so far and haven't participated in any discussions. When i sign up for the forum though deffo going to call myself xoxoxHornyBabe69xoxox or something hahaha i'll get all prime parts for free :D
-
Lol I'm not so sure about that. Though I have noticed that the console crowd tends to get a little crazy with pricing things. Certain prime items are put in the vault or "remove from the drop rotation" so they become more coveted. I see people trying to sell Frost Prime, which is in the vault, for like 1,500 plat. When it should go for about 500 tops. PC players are a little more manageable on pricing items.
-
I guess rarity comes into play as well assuming the PC player base would be larger than the consoles therefore more frost prime available. Pricing is difficult though, as that's been one of my main struggles finding up to date price guides.

Edited by DRG JupiterIvan: 9/21/2015 12:49:48 AMSometimes it's best to just sit in trade chat and wait until a good deal pops up. The other day I got a Dakra Prime, one of the best swords on the game as well as being in the vault, for 60 plat. Then I turned around and sold ember prime systems for 50 lol. It's just like in real life, patient people get the best deals.

Edited by WoundedBdgr0317: 9/21/2015 6:53:33 AMI paid a very small amount for a color palette. That's it! Great system to me and great game even though I'm not far with it yet.
