Is The Taken King (2.0.0) profitable for year one players

Personnaly for me, 2.0.0 is a pain to the ass if you don't bought The Taken King. Is anyone else feel abandonned by Bungie?
...a PITA if you don't bought The Taken King
Which is of course quite deliberate. You're the Poor Kid in class now. The only way to get your friends back is to capitulate and pump more cash into a second-rate game franchise with poor rewards and cartoon-level voice acting. Meh. I'm planning on upgrading to a PS4 at the end of February next year, and I'm not wasting money on a PS3 DLC that I'd need to rebuy. The daily bounties still give me an hour of Space Invaders, and gee, I can do other things now with the rest of the evening... ("Bungie Hates Him! What is the simple trick that gives this Gamer some self-control?!")

 • Hey man, yeah me too. Levelcap at 34 means no legendary marks, no gear at all, really. Three Crucible playlists that seem low on player count. No daily or weekly heriocs... Level 20 Strikes. Haven't experienced this situation yet where your game becomes irrelevant after only a year. The difference between vanilla gear and lvl 40 does get in the way this time. Paying TTK players get an advantage when choosing to play Classic playlists.
