2.0 encouraged me to drop my sniper rifle and use a shotgun.
Any sniper rifle enthusiast probably noticed a difference in the mechanics. It is much harder to snipe in the crucible now. When you are scoped in and you come under fire in 2.0 there is almost no chance of you landing a head shot because the reaction to being shot is now exaggerated greatly. Before it was still very possible to land the headshot to defend yourself. I think it was Bungie's way of trying to make the unflinching perk more useful, because you know, it's their perk and they want you to play the way they want you to play. In my opinion it was a mistake, I thought sniping was perfectly balanced and now it is much more difficult which led to me switching to my shotgun which I hate using because as everyone will tell you, they are cheap no skill ways of getting on the scoreboard in 6v6 matches.

Sniping in Destiny, like CoD, takes no skill at all. In fact, it's adorable. Aim assist for days, big huge hitboxes for headshots. Anyone who plays Battlefield knows precisely what I mean. And if you are cocky and think I'm full of shit, I wanna see you nail a headshot at 900 YARDS (2,700 feet) while compensating for bullet drop :). That thing called gravity and bullet decelleration. It's accuracy is incredible if you can make the shot, it's up to the player
