California is going to allow physicians to supply patients with medication that will ultimately end with their 'assisted suicide.'
Do you guys support this?
Why/why not?

2 RepliesThe same thing is happening in England (or Britain idk). On one hand I think, well okay this could relieve guilt associated with AS, and it would actually allow seriously sick patients to make their own choices. But on the other hand I think, this could make murder easier to get away with? Depending on how they carry the procedure out, and of course a group of hardcore pro life, or whatever it is, activists will be shitting a brick over it.

Inb4 someone manages to spread this new medicine and kill people.
-
I support it, yes, as long as it's used in the right cases. You obviously can't give it out like candy on Halloween, but I believe it'll be easy enough to use it in a responsible fashion, and to the right people.

Edited by qoslsnsmqaaksk: 9/12/2015 10:35:08 AMDo I get medals for assisted suicides like Call of Duty?
-
5 RepliesVery much yes. People who are terminally ill deserve to die with dignity on their own terms, not a long, painful death.
-
t depends really. If it is some sort of depression factor playing a part then they should be helped out of it rather than be encouraged to commit suicide. But if they are terminally ill then I agree with the posts below. Definitely yes. Not allowing someone to commit suicide in conditions like this will only cause them more pain and suffer a long, harsh death. And it is their own will.
-
All for it. I think it's dumb people can't die on their own terms when it comes to the terminally ill. I would want my family to see me as how I am now and in decent health rather than a person who looks like they got one foot in the grave.
-
Lmao @ the idiots not reading the actual article and thinking people can just decide one day to off themselves and it'll be legal for someone to have it done.
-
I think we need to be careful about making it easier for people to kill themselves. Obviously large potential for abuse.

1 ReplyHow many assist points do you get
-
Needs regulations. can't have people running off with the shit.
-
3 RepliesYou can euthanise a dog, but not a suffering person. Logic
-
1 ReplySomebody is gonna get access to that stuff and kill a lot of people. Shouldn't take the chance.
-
Yeah man. It sucks for those who are terminally ill, dying slowly and painfully. If there's nothing you can do why prolong the suffering. Obviously it has to be super strict but yeah.
-
1 ReplyWhy I don't absolutely disagree with, I will say there are a lot of concerns and issues surrounding it. There's a lot of variables and grey areas that would have to be worked out IMO, unfortunately I don't think it's as simple as wanting to die, and having that granted.

2 Repliesunfortunately in the UK our retarded parliament voted today on "assisted dying" & was massively out voted 300 something against with only 118 for :( yet we will kill our pets if they're to ill as it's "the humane thing to do" & yet we won't ascribe the same benevolent treatment to humans from which the word humane derives? Retarded beyond comparison! :(

2 RepliesIf it's worded correctly, yes. Terminal illness only with deep specificity as to what qualifies and how fargone an individual has to be. Voted for it in my state, but it didn't pass.
