Yes it was too fast. If it's so easy to level up immediately, why bother raising the level cap at all?

    Because they didn't really raise the cap, 40 is just the new 20 and it only means you can equip the best gear. Light is still the only important number, just like it was pre 2.0.they did it this way to make it seem like a more traditional rpg where you could level solely on your xp gains. But gear is still the end all. Have you noticed that when you die you no longer see a recommended level, you see a recommended light? Check out the patch notes they explain how light determines defence and the power of you super. And that weapon damage is based partly on the weapons attack and partly on your light level. Hitting max level doesn't mean anything anymore, the stat people will be chasing is max light.

  • I get why they did it in relation to gear and content. My point was that if you make a level increase, don't make it so that it's too easy to level up again. Otherwise, just make level 40 items level 34.
