This was said near the bottom of the most recent Weekly Update
"'If you purchased the existing Digital Collector’s Edition, and you already owned Destiny and both expansion packs, we’ll have some additional information for you soon.'
We haven’t forgotten about you. We know who you are, and we’ve kept a list. We’ve also identified what we’re going to give you for your awesome early purchase. Unfortunately, it’s stuff that won’t be available immediately at launch. The use of the word “stuff” here is regrettably vague, but we think you’ll be pretty excited once you learn the details."
This sounds to me like the only people Bungie will be able to give this "stuff" to will be those who purchased the Digital Collector's Edition. What does this mean for those people, like me, who bought the Physical Collector's Edition? Would we also get the "stuff" that those who bought the Digital version will get? I wouldn't want to be left out of new stuff just because I went to a store and pre-ordered it instead of going online and buying it. I've already purchased the physical Collector's Edition, as well as the base expansion digitally, so I can get the cool physical stuff and be able to play as soon as possible instead of having to run to Gamestop and pick up my expansion first, so if I have to buy the digital Collector's Edtition as well, I would've just bought every single version of the expansion except the Legendary Edition. (And yes my case is a bit extreme, but I enjoy the game enough to spend that much money)
I would really appreciate it If I could get an answer from Bungie on this, since it is worrying me on how much money I seem to have to spend to not miss out on anything. Thanks in advance!
Edit: Thanks for the bumps and comments everybody, this post has been top or very close to the top of the help section for the past 24 hours! Keep it up and I don't see how Bungie couldn't see it!
Edit 2: Yes , I realize that if you were to buy the digital CE now you wouldn't get the rewards, however I'm not going to change it in the original post because I said it there as a way to make people think "Yea, buying three versions of the game would be pretty ridiculous, wouldn't it?" So I'm addressing it here, I Do know that if I bought the digital CE now I would not get the stuff they're talking about. However, I did buy my physical CE before they talked about this the first time so that's why I think the physical should also get involved with the gift.

Bumping again. Still would like clarification

1 ReplyThat's because the ppl who bought the physical ce get physical goodies.. Ppl who bought the digital ce only get the digital stuff for the same price with out the physical stuff that we are getting.. And plus it's only for the ppl who bought the digital ce way before they announced about the $20 dollar bundle.. And you can't refund digital stuff. Look at it this way would you be mad if you bought the same collectors edition for 80 and one came with physical goodies plus the digital goodies and the other bundle on came with the digital goodies with out the physical goodies?

Bump, as I'd like some clarification on this too

2 RepliesThe language implies that only those who purchased the Digital Version will get a special gift. The Physical Edition has a physical disc and codes as well as physical goodies that the Digital Version just doesn't have. Whereas those who purchased the Digital Collector's Edition but already owned the game and expansions are out $20 more then they would otherwise would've spent for the Digital GOodies with the addition of the $20 pack.

4 RepliesI have the digital collectors edition but I think I bought it after that original weekly update. Does anyone know how to confirm one way or another wether that voids me from rewards?

1 ReplyEdited by LastRebel002: 8/28/2015 11:21:57 AMSimilar thread I started earlier... https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/149780867/0/0 Some good info there as well. Maybe if we keep one of them toward the top well get an answer. Which should be the both Physical and Digital Colletor's Editions will include the extra in-game digital content. This should happen for the simple reason that purchaser's of either edition knew exactly what they getting before they placed their preorder! You can't call foul after the fact and expect hand outs.

I too would love to hear something from someone at Bungie about this as I'm in the same situation.

1 ReplyEdited by maisydog: 8/28/2015 10:15:24 AMReally hope it includes physical. Collectors editions are aimed at collectors. It would be kinda suck to give one collector something unique and one nothing. But I guess we do get physical stuff... Ah, it's complicated. Also, the Physical collectors edition is more expensive than the digital one here in the UK so we are paying more for the physical stuff.

5 RepliesYou can get a refund for your purchase. Even if you already paid in full. Digital pre-orders cannot get refunds which is why people were upset.

11 RepliesEdited by Cool-Caution: 8/28/2015 10:09:09 AMIn the UK the only place to buy the Physical Collector's Edition is game.co.uk and is 79.99 but the PSN store download Collector's Edition is £74.99 so we are paying a extra £5 for the Physical stuff. so we should also be inc in the above statement about the Digital Collectors edition

Edited by Cool-Caution: 8/28/2015 9:53:40 AMi also asked this did not see your post till now

8 RepliesSo what if I bought the physical Collectors edition and owned both previous expansions and the base game digitally? I'm technically still re-buying content. No reason why we shouldn't receive the same treatment as those who opted in for the digital $80 version.
-
3 RepliesFor me personally I would much rather have the extra digital goodies then the extra physical stuff. When they first unveiled the physical and digital versions the physical version was far superior as far as bang for your buck. The only reason the digital version is now getting this added content is for those that complained about Bungie’s pricing model. Regardless I don’t know why Deej couldn’t just spill the beans and tell us what digital owners will be getting for the extra $20.
