Best and worst part of either raid.
With King's Fall coming, I wanted to look back on the best and worst parts of the old raids.
My favorite in CE is the Abyss, and the worst part is the Bridge. The best part in VoG is Atheon, and the worst is the Gorgons.

Vault of Glass: Best: All, it's a well done raid. Worst: None. Crota's End: Best: Lamps Worst: Crota (due to the massive amount of random bs that can happen at any point. And the terribad loot drops and percentage)

Best part for me in Crota is himself. Worst part is the Thrallway on your own. Beat part in VoG is confluxes, if everyone use their super/generate orbs. Worst part [i]can[/i] be confluxes, but it also [i]can[/i] be Gorgons.

VoG best: All of it in both length and mechanics. VoG worst: All of the glitchs it came with.. CE best: Running the abyss with a full team. CE worst: Tie, both how easy it is and the length of it.

CE: can be solo'd in 20 minutes. Throwing mobs at us isn't a way to fix the cheese problem, sorry bungie. The whole thing was awful. VoG: after CE, I love the whole thing.

VOG = atheon CE with full team and no cheeses = the lamps, great fun. CE solo = the bridge (i just love swishing across)

Best of Crota: Abyss, it's how the hive should have felt through more of the game; a scary unending horde that you need to run away from. Worst part of Crota: Deathsinger after her death. Killing that many majors, when we were 32 or lower especially, for no real reason was tedious at best. Best part of VoG: Templar or Atheon. Templar was fun and beatable even with not so great teams, and actually took some time. While Atheon was frustrating with bad teams and a joke with good ones. They both had really good mechanics for the fight, it's just a shame Atheon's were lag dependant and only came into play once with a good team. Worst part of VoG: Oracles. Not by any fault of the encounter, it is also an interesting and fun encounter as designed, but because of us. Sitting on the ledge for 15mins waiting for glowing orbs to appear every so often is boring, but it's how most teams (at least of randoms) do it now sadly, all for the sake of consistency.

I don't think VOG really has a worst. CE worst I agree with someone else is having to kill the ads after killing deathsinger. CE best is both abyss which can just be crazy madness and the bridge when not cheesed.

1 ReplyVault of Glass Best Parts = Vault of Glass Worst Part = Not having been forced to do the "Trials" path on HM(the deaths would be awesome) Crotas End Best Parts = Give me a minute...maybe Blackhammer Worst Parts = Can be Soloed....never should have been possible Crota fight would have been a little better if the doors to the crystal room(horseshoe area) closed once you left room and you had to stay in the open during the fight
