It's just stupid how people don't get that the point of a 10-year game is that you get new content and use it. I don't think the plan was to have one weapon used the whole way. That's just ridiculous. People need to get over it and find another weapon.
It isn't a matter of using an exotic for ten years but allowing players the ability to use a larger pool of exotics for an ever growing number endgame activities.
Exotics play such a critical role in class/subclass differentiation that have some stay behind would reduce those options instead of having them alongside the new stuff.
No one is saying don't make new content.
Personally speaking and I believe a lot of people would agree with me they just want the choice.
Majority of players will use play and collects new exotics and legendarys.
As for my self if I find a gun I like In year 2 it will become a permanent item in my LOADOUT rotation.
Just as my scholar is.
The reason bungie is so scared to let us carry them is because no one uses most of HOW WEAPONS.
But the reason for that is..... THEY SUCK like seriously shank burn? No thanks.
I have made 1 how weapon non trials a part of my favored gear it's called dry rot and I love it.
