Edited by haydenlh2: 8/22/2015 2:07:29 PMThis is not an opinion piece. It is a communication with a third party in which you were not targeted or solicited. That target audience was Bungie. Your post is directed at me, the author of the tread in a communication in which you were not asked to be a pundit or give your subject matter expert advice. This is not a blame game. The player turned out to have a high latency. Using a tool called Rowvid the following information was determined: The players lag was estimated to be .36. A normal players lag was estimated to be .04. A player red barring during the game was estimated to be .2. All other players in the match were estimated to be with in .08~.12. The players deviation in latency was several orders of magnitude greater than the norm. This magnitude can be estimated to be as high as 9 times higher than normal. That was the issue that occurred during the match. Not just one event but throughout the match in several events. The source video is for Bungie to link and pull the game content, they did. The source video is not up for public debate, does not solicit any responses and can not be used for analytical methods being it has been compressed and altered several times in an upload process. Again intended audience is Bungie, message has been received by said target. Have a good day.

You're posting in the forums... where anyone can read and reply... if you want bungie and only bungie to read and reply send them an email. Not post in their forums. Just being in the forums you should know they reply to like two forum threads per day.

This is Bungies Bug reporting process. In the great wisdom they made the that process public. The fact of the matter is bungie gets the message of an issue here or through reporting a player for misconduct in the game. They then send a one way communication back to you, thanking you for informing them of said issue with sometime a message of action taken. It is a failed process, I've writ Bungie in regards to the trouble handling model and how it has failed in a different thread. You are left to use the system in a fashion of the way it is designed. The main issue is players can post, it has no impact on me personally. Trying to solicit or sway me to their perspective is improper, as they were not the targeted audience. Basically it is like you calling you asking your wife what she wants for dinner as you head home. While comments by other actors may me funny, entertaining or insulting... they are unwarranted. Is it the husbands fault for posting on facebook. Debatable, but if that is the only method of communication that is available at the time, you have to use the avenue you have. The idea that the author would really care about any response that wasn't solicited is a little naive and self serving. But back to your point, it is not for Bungie to reply in an open forum. Bungie uses your linked console account and uses the contact information provided via that system. They reply to a lot, sometimes it takes 3-4 days, but I usually get a response if one has been solicited. Have a good day.

Edited by haydenlh2: 8/22/2015 3:03:15 PMYou insulted me, straight away. You didn't find that rude or obnoxious. Now I return the candor that you started with and you are offended. Think about that, then think about that again. Second, it has nothing to do with getting anything nerf'ed If you actually read the context addressed to bungie it was for them to look into issues in game play where shots were not registering or if the hit markers were generated they were not being applied in damage. The link is for Bungie to pull the game. It is not about one event. Said example received two head shots on another encounter. His character did not have max armor. The hit markers generated, first at 111 and applied damage. A second critical was generated in the next frame registering a hit marker of 84. That damage was not applied to the examples health bar. Hitting a 111 and an 84 critical is how you two shot kill a non maxed armor guardian. That is the indicated potential bug. Have a good day
