• If you enjoyed it, why does it matter? Personally I've gotten way more than $100 of enjoyment out of this game.

  • I have had my ups and downs with the game when it first came out i looked forward to it was hyped up and ready to play it. i kept track of everything leading up to it and pre-ordered a couple days before launch after getting all the details of the game for almost a year. i played the beta, i did my research on it and everything looked legit. Finally the game released and i took it home and beat it in a single day. After putting 100 bucks into a game i shouldn't beat it in a day. it was a huge disappointment, have the things they talking about before release never made it to the final version of the game. all the research i had done turned out to be only half truths and well worded lies. Sure i had the season pass and i thought things would simply get better as things went on but Bungie decided to start micromanaging everything in the game. removal of the Loot cave that MANY talked about during the beta and was a hot spot during the last few days of the beta. The constant adjustments and 'rebalancing' of weapons for PVP which clashed with PVE. The number of glitches and missing important tools that any FPSRPG should have (such as a FRICKING MAP) I wouldn't exactly call this a enjoyable ride my friend. it was a 100 bucks to play a beta version of the game AFTER i already played the beta. That is no more enjoyable then the ride. I expect a product i paid for be a completed product whether i have to put it together myself or it comes assembled i expect all the pieces to be there. Not added in at a later date and called part of the expansions. Lets also not forget about the continued false advertisements of bungie. when first pre-ordering the season pass it said it would included a raid during both expansions they since removed that and promised us one at a later date (TTK) and charged us a second time for access to what we already paid for. POE was not worth losing a raid over by any standards. Dont get me wrong however i had fun playing with friends and meeting new people but they are the reason i have played up to this point not out of true enjoyment of the game. I have said numerous times 'whats bungie going to mess up this time' and so far they havent let me done.

what does RNG have to do with beating the game? finishing the story line takes roughly 24 hours. RNG has NOTHING to do with that. collecting weapons and gear isnt part of beating a game its simply collecting everything the game has to offer. Heck i gave up on that a while back since the RNG is so horrible in this game and there is a limit to vault space that is smaller then the loot you can collect

"We like to tell big stories and we want people to put the Destiny universe on the same shelf they put Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, or Star Wars; we've already seen they do that with Halo." "Gear that she acquired on many adventures, that she purchased, traded, gambled for."

  • to be completely blunt and honest YES the game is fun to play but the way bungie is treating its players is taking away from the experience. Everyone has a limit and most players are starting to reach that point. No matter how fun a game is if someone is attempting to control how you play that game makes it less fun. Weapons are constantly changing, the effectiveness of the weapons is going up and down. while this isnt a big deal to most for some it sucks. they have decided that NO one should be able to use a single weapon for more then a year because it would be boring. that is them controlling how I play. If i want to stand and shoot into a hole all day i should be able to. If i want to save every weapon (since the all disappear with the release of the next expansion) i should have the room to pick and choose a majority. if i want to save up a ton of currency and buy everything at once thats my choice. (heck TTK is taking away all my marks leaving me with 0 in return) if none of these things are things YOU want to do that is fine but there are those of us who will take a stand and not just accept all the crap bungie gives us and will speak up about it.

  • Weapons are constantly changing because certain weapon types are clearly better than others. Bungie wants all weapons types to be viable and (at least in crucible) have a time to kill of about 1 second (usually .9 s). As far as everyone is concerned, TTK is the next dark below and you are overreacting. Another thing, there are most defiantly better options coming up for year 2 content. This isn't taking away from year 1 weapons at all. They are still useful on the content they were made for. You can stand in a hole and shoot all day. It doesn't mean that you should be rewarded for it. Non of the weapons are disappearing. They aren't taking them away. They are just making other weapons better. Like I said, year 1 weapons will still be useful in year 1 content. It's no different than right now. Certain weapons are better in different situations than others. Example:Fatebringer as good in crota's end as the word of crota. The old currencies are no longer usable with the new system. Of course they have to get rid of them. From the sound of it it will be ridiculously easy to get new ones, as they removed the weekly cap. You can still save up and buy everything at once, after TTK comes out. Taking a stand is all well and good, but most of what you are complaining about isn't an issue at all. It's not taking away from the game. It's adding to it.

  • adding to a game is wiping out a entire year of content and effort? wow our view is more different then i thought. Yes you can use year one weapons and armor for year one content but let me ask this WHY on earth would you play year one content when nothing you do there matters in year two? this isnt over-reacting it stating the obvious. Nothing we do from today til september 15 means ANYTHING beyond hunting exotics and and getting fractions set up to level up as soon as TTK drops for packages. Other then that its all a waste of time and effort. this is why people are reacting how they are. If your fine with having it all wiped clean for a DLC good for you. Im upset about it. If TTK is a DLC not a NEW game therefore progress shouldn't be wiped clean. if you dont see this as being wiped clean your blind

  • TTK is more than your average DLC. It's overhauling most of the game. These changes are overwhelmingly positive and exciting. They aren't destroying an entire year's worth of work. They are making it seem smaller though, as there will be more to the game. Year 1 won't become irrelevant. Anyways, if you don't like the changes, you probably shouldn't buy it, however most people playing now will be buying it and will continue to play Destiny.

  • Honestly i already cancelled my pre-order and have stopped playing for some time. why? cause there is no point in playing anymore. but still more then a average dlc is still a dlc i dont care if they are 'overhauling' the game all they are REALLY doing is fixing what should have been fixed 6 months ago it shouldn't reset the game.

  • As soon as you have a compete understanding of how much work goes into a game like this you can say what should have happened or how it should happen.

  • DLC or Expansion is suppose to expand upon the game as a whole. it is suppose to add to said content and enhance it. NOT render it pointless. This is what the problem with TDB was it rendered Vanilla efforts useless because everything from the venders outranked everything we had unlocked before then. Now it is happening again. but on a much larger scale covering more aspects of the game besides simply gear. THey are forgoing the past year and skipping it. if you dont believe me then why the need for new players to have a item that lets them instantly skip to level 25 skipping everything before TTK?

  • The skipping to 25 is for friends to play with friends who have just started. Will it make the year 1 content less important? It depends. People will still play the old content (myself included) without the promise of a reward.
