Are you using WiFi? If so, please try switching to a wired connection temporarily. This is an important first troubleshooting step to rule out wireless signal strength/stability as a possible cause.

just done this for the second time and still no progress. i get to "checking for updates" then get the nightingale error. just seems strange to me that all my other online games are working fine

Have you tried unplugging your modem and router for at least 30 seconds before plugging them back in?

formatting the ps4 didnt help either. more advice would be appreciated as i dont want to go buy another ps4 just to have the same problem

Please make sure that all Parental Control features on your modem/router are completely disabled (not just set to "none")

just disabled them and still getting nightingale, im still baffled that the issue is only with destiny. should i cancel my pre order of the taken king if this issue doesnt get solved as im guessing im still going to get the error?

Please disable any "Quality of Service" (QoS) features on your router/modem and try again.

just checked and i didnt have it activated in the first place

going to try completely formatting the ps4 as the problem still hasnt been solved

also just spent the last hour on the phone with my internet provider to see if i had any problems there but all is well. this needs to be sorted asap

I'm having similar problems and have already tried the above steps. I'm just getting multiple different error codes which I've never seen until now.

have you had any progress? im currently doing a fast format of the ps4 and re installing destiny again

Change your systems dns codes to primary 8.8.8.8 secondry 8.8.4.4

Well nothing has worked for me... Did changing DNS prove to be a permanent fix?
