1. DeeJ, Cozmo and Bungie have no time o respond to every single forum post and email they receive, thinking that they do is just plain ignorance. Even the forum volunteers are hard pressed to reply to more than a quarter of the posts. 2. Pricing is set by the producers (Activision) not the developers (Bungie). Take your price complaints to the right people. 3. DeeJ has a thread in #feedback for content suggestions, he updates that thread periodically with the TOP ideas from Guardians. Typically ones that don't whine... 4. Your sense of entitlement is just ridiculous, just the TTK upgrade runs $40 the digital collector's edition of Destiny is $60 I can only surmise you want the CE content included in your $40 TTK purchase otherwise it would make your complaint pointless. 5. Bungie has catered to the whining masses from launch with multiple needs/buffs. Between those they've been fixing major glitches in the game. Kind of hard to focus on adding user suggested content when there's so many requests for Nerf, buff and bug fixes. Stop the whiners and maybe Bungie will be able to add more user suggestions. 6. Let's face it, you posted this to have your very own "woe is me" sob story because you feel slighted by no response from a company that has no clue who you are. 7. If you really want to affect change, start a group, gather members and use your combined voices to suggest positive ways for improvement. 8. Utilize constructive criticism, this doesn't mean attack Bungie for perceived slights or overpricing. Since so many don't understand constructive criticism here's an example; I was shield bashed by a Phalanx and sent flying across the map, I landed without hitting anything but still died, the impact damage needs to be reworked. 9. If you really have that big of an issue with the way TTK is being handled then don't buy it as is your right. Just don't expect everyone to dive into your cause because you feel you're right. 10. Overpricing is a matter of opinion, if you subscribe to the $1=1 hour of entertainment then Destiny far exceeds that. 11. Some personal advice: find a group to game with, doesn't have to strictly be Destiny as long as they enjoy the same games you do , you'll have fun.

  • 1. While yes, I do agree that it is impossible to view most topics and reply to them, they could do a better job at viewing or talking to the community in the weekly updates about how they know something is a problem or to be patient about something. If anything else, they could have the volunteers record the url of something important that another Bungie member could take note of or reply to. 2. I can agree with this except two things, one would be that Bungie accepted the contract for the 100M full well knowing they are partnered with Moneyvision, which brings me to the next point; You misspelled Moneyvision. 3. It's now done by Cozmos (personally I like him better.) and most of the stuff on that list should not be part of them main focus. For instance, why would I want a beard in Destiny when I can get one in real life? Beyond that, Destiny has some ground breaking problems that are not included on that list that have been brought up. I would include video evidence of what I'm talking about if I could, but as I will explain in the spoiler list, I do not own an XBone. The following is a list of things I have first hand experienced not just once but daily and are in dire need of a fix:
Since most of the players are next gen it may not be as prevalent there, but: Weapons do little to nothing on 360, specifically to captains and Minotaur.*Which by the way, the weapon re-balance they have on the to-do list means almost nothing considering that if the only problem was a needed damage buff, and they fail to deliver even though it took only a matter of days to nerf* Minotaurs chain teleports so badly that they are immune to anything but shotguns or long range snipers (unless you can Allegory jesus and Allahu Akbar a RPG) Enemies teleport randomly without warning (even Cobal) Important targets flat out sprint to objective (some how even knowing where to go while blind) If you push an important target off a cliff he then spawns on the objective capturing it. Inventory load times are based on proximity and density to enemies (proven by distance measuring with active enemies engaged in the Archon Priest Stirke), so that means no synthesis and no weapon changes throughout entire engagement. Any perk like preferred weapon means all other weapons are nerfed (Measure damage output in POE before and after the perk is on) Sniper kills in PvP take 0.11ms to 2 seconds to kill the target, meaning some shots can be devoid of even hitting the target and other shots take so long to render that the enemy can kill you first
4 & 10: Over pricing is relative. I do not have any income so to say something is cheap because it is only a dollar, to me it would be highly expensive because I cannot recover that dollar. Yes I agree to the point that my money is well spent on TTK and Base Destiny, but I do not agree to that on any other DLC. The Diaper Load was a horrible DLC to me because it presented no variation to the story line and all previous exotics and legendarys needed to be recovered and or upgraded with the catch that they have no experience on them. So in effect, with the concept that year 1 weapons are not worth Shatner and the time willingly versus forced to play on the DLCs, I would say both the Diaper Load and the HOW were not worth my money. 5: As it is I have not seen any recent fixes to bug problems, like you can still cheese Crota and Thorn is still the only primary besides Universal Remote and No Land Beyond that only takes 2 shots to kill in crucible from almost any range. Bungie being the creator of the game should have known what to mess with if anything needed changes. Kind of like they knew how over powered Gjallarhorn was when they made it, hence why it was in the trailers. By the way, I don't think a single person asked to have the tower ball mesh upgraded. 6: This may be true (more than likely), but it's very true that Bungie does not keep its appearance up on it's own website. The least they could do is post something saying to hold your hate until all is revealed. 7: This is probably the best way to start. Form a topic to inform people of a problem that they can relate, then ask the people who agree to join in a group. This post is a live now, die later, which for the time it is alive, it has a group of people who like the idea who will just like the topic and leave because he doesn't present any more option to form a group. In effect you are right here, but this is also kind of a start to forming the group. 8: Great example, this would probably boost the want for Bungie to find posts and reply to them, but even still, my first post ever was constructive criticism on how the Psion melee goes right through a Titan shield and Woe is me. It's hard to get a common problem fixed when you need community support for any Bungie member to view and or reply to it. 9: Expecting everyone to join the cause is ridiculous but just leaving or not buying TTK submissively is contradictory to your group idea. 11: Nothing really here, you are absolutely right. Destiny wouldn't have lasted the first year if everyone who logged on didn't have a friend to play with.

  • First off, thanks for the well thought response instead of parroting some typical BS. 1&8. I agree the people monitoring the forum could do a better job and/or review how they handle posts. You pretty well hit it with your mention of your first constructive post. Without community support any post made on these forums is swallowed up in seconds. Literally by the time you click post then go back to the forum category you posted in your post will be down at least a page. Unfortunately there are far more whiners than people trying to improve the game. 2. We all agree Activision/Moneyvision/Craptivision wasn't Bungie's best choice for Destiny but they needed money and Moneyvision saw dollar signs all over Destiny. The sad part (though not unexpected) they're dumping responsibility for all pricing issues into Bungie's lap. 3. Most of the hot-fixes they've put out focused on PvE bugs. The weapon adjustments mainly focus on PvP because they have the most whiners (I personally blame Craptivision's C.O.D. transfers). The thread Cozmo now runs in #feedback is meant for new ideas for the game, they need a separate one for existing issues. As for your spoiler list, myself and my clan play on the 360 here's what we've noticed. Yes, minotaur teleport runs fast. The dps on Captains and Minotaurs seems a bit low but I don't understand how the figure damage vs. level as well as how weapon damage listed translates into damage to enemy. Haven't had too many issues with enemies randomly teleporting, unless a fireteam member with crap internet was fireteam leader. I'll take your word on the buff/Nerf perk since I haven't noticed it yet. Inventory load times on the 360 suck!! A clanmate also plays on the One, says load times there are near instant... 4&10. This was supposed to be about the base TTK expansion purchase not including the CE digital items. Had a similar argument when TDB dropped, people thought because they bought Destiny they were entitled to the DLC's free. If you want extra content you have to pay for it like everyone else. I understand that not everyone on Destiny has an income and just because you don't have an income doesn't mean you're a kid either. For those that are kids its fully understandable how a new expansion can seem overpriced since you're dependant upon your parents to purchase it. Those that just don't have a steady income are more hard pressed so any amount of money becomes precious. The point of this is, overpricing or not all comes down to one thing, you, nobody can say what value an item or service has to you. If you don't see $40 value in the Taken King then to you its overpriced but that doesn't mean the next person sees it the same. Let's keep this one short, I'll make another reply to finish out the others.

  • OK to continue. 5. Yes, we are in dire need of an update. Looking back though, we'll probably get a minor fix with the 2.0 just before TTK breaks everything again. 6. A stronger forum presence would help a lot, even if it were more volunteers. Just the appearance would calm a lot of the whiners. 7. The group idea is because its been proven throughout history that groups have more sway than individuals. 9. Was put in because there's quite a few posts that claim they're not buying TTK and requesting others do the same.

  • 1 & 8: Completely Agree, I'd call this closed. 2: Yep, agree here too. I've heard from someone something that makes sense but I cannot confirm, that a few Bungie employees got a hold of an Activision's CEO or high employee's email and the CEOs were having a conversation of that their plan is to contract Bungie and ruin Destiny, because they knew AW was no comparison. That's why Destiny is crap compared to E3 2013 and so many Bungie members left. 3: Yeah Agreed too. The reason the inventory load times are so messed up is because there used to be a glitch (which still works in raids) where warlocks could infinite self-res. Bungie took the easy way out and extended Xbox 360 menu times based on enemy density and proximity so that if you were in PVP, you would respawn before your inventory loaded. 4: Even though I don't have a current income, I would call TTK base package worth it. Pricing is relative to the person and place, but I think I'm not the only one who believes they got gypped when promised good content and most of it was forced play for better play than having an actual want or replay value. For instance, does anyone ever play Omnigal strike without having any other purpose but have fun? TDB shouldn't have been free, but I don't feel like the value is $20. If people want free DLCs they should get back on GTA, because while yes everything is better free, Destiny and even old Bungie was not free on it's DLCs. For all of it's actuality, I would say that I've gotten more content out of halo 3 base game than Destiny base game, which I would say Destiny is a great game and I wouldn't leave it, but the gaming community is going to die if the companies can think they can release broken and story dry games that fix it self if you pay $40 more than the base $60. 5: Yep 6: Yeet 7: Not my point, I understand that, but I thought that this was his way of forming a group. 9: Well that's really based off of the idea "Do you really want to pay around $400 for a 10 year ride that every DLC means that everything you have done is now devoid of purpose?". When people come to this conclusion, I personally would have wanted to inform people of this to either change an aspect of that or have everyone else entitled to the knowledge and ultimately the choice of riding or not. As would I, if Destiny turned aids, I would not want it to be aids because it is the best game I've seen since Halo Reach around, that means I would not want to leave it so much as change it back.

  • Just tht....my collector's edition cost 90 euros without the choice of buying only ttk...it's like, activision thinks tht Europes soil nourishes money growing trees. Besides tht...I dont really care. Oh n, it's true tht they respond to flattery and thank you and good Samaritan posts. I doubt tht ALL serious posts are whiny and without logic. And idk what their extra work is but to answer lets say 3 reasonable posts each per day would be helpful I guess. It must be tiring yes but it's a job... A simple "looking into it" would be sufficient even if they forget. In a community tho, the vox populi should be loud n consistent for them to take action.

  • We have 2 community leaders, DeeJ and Cozmo, thousands of useless posts full of whining flood the forums daily, hundreds of useful posts that contain suggestions and constructive criticism. Unfortunately the whiners drown out those who wish to contribute, hence my suggestion to create a group of like-minded individuals.

Right.. except for #10. I spent far less than 60 hours doing new content in this game. In general, this game has VERY little value for the amount of content it has. Plus, if we value our time, Destiny is a horrible value overall for the quality of good times that you get out of vs the amount of grinding that is required to have those few fun moments.

  • I agree, but there are much better games to play with friends in.. the more gamers outside the destiny black hole I asked, the more evident it became. I would have never found Witcher 3 or Dragon Age if I didn't open my eyes.
