Honestly...video gaming is an expensive hobby. I knew it was when I got into it. I ordered pre-ordered this on PS4 and plan on doing it for XBone so I can play with my friends on there

Edited by Doze: 8/18/2015 5:53:57 PMThe funny thing is that it really isn't an expensive hobby. It's actually what I like to do to avoid spending money.

It could all be relative. In the last 8 months i've spent about $3000 buying games and equipment on XBone, PS4, and PC. And I know before the year is out that i'l probably spend about $3000 - $4000 buying 2 new monitors and collector's edition of games along with a standard edition....after typing that, I'm making this an expensive hobby...shit

Okay, I think you're confusing your impulsive spending habits for gaming

Agreed.

I wouldn't say impulsive. I'm not buying ever single game that comes out twice and I only buy collector's editions of the games I want. Like I pre-ordered the Fallout 4 collectors and I'll probably pre-order Kingdom Hearts 3 CE if they have one. I only buy a game one multiple platforms if enough of my friends are getting it on said platforms. I have friends that only play on Xbone and friends that only play on PS4. and If I buy on both I'm usually trading in older games along with buying the dup. I had to buy multiple headsets for various reasons, usually faulty wiring. Then PC equipment. Yea I spend a lot on gaming and it's peripherals but it's not impulsive. Everything i've bought this year has been based off of last year's E3 and debating on if I really wanted it or not. Besides I make enough to sit $150 aside from each paycheck specifically for video games and different gaming equipment. The only real impulse buying I do is during the steam sales but that's never more than $50. So maybe my definition of gaming as hobby and what it entails is just different from yours
