In Destiny, we know about DLC. But wouldn't you rather keep funding a company, and let the story develop as your character develops over the years Destiny is said to last? That's way better than an annual release PvP FPS. Of course, it could all be free with an ingame currency you have to pay for to get new Sparrows, Ships, Ghosts, etc. Like most MMO's. What do you think is better?

On paper DLC is great, getting additional content for a game that you love seems like a great idea, and only for a couple bucks, but nowadays companies see it as a green light to cut content, sell an unfinished game, and milk more money from you, just so the player can feel like they've finally done it all. Don't get me wrong, there are many games that have done and continue to do the whole "DLC" thing right. But most of the time it's just a money snatching scheme.
