Personally I wish they would just take out of the game.

Edited by Tacoface1996: 8/18/2015 9:11:55 AMDuh, wth, it's one of the best things to come with HoW. An even though it's RNG based i would rather have a reliable chance of getting the perks on the gun i've been looking for, instead of getting completely fuked by RNG an getting the shittiest perks permanently.
-
4 RepliesEveryone gunning ;) for the same perks makes weapons bland. No more thrill of getting that great roll on a weapon that others may never get. While it may have been great fan service on the part of Bungie, reforging hurt the game in the long run. ^ my $0.02

I personally don't like it, it just makes guns less special. Suddenly everyone has a full range, shot package shotgun and proximity ash factory. I'm hoping the whole sacrificing guns thing fixes it. If it works the way I hope (sacrificing a gun let's you take a perk and put it on another weapon) that will actually make the weapons yours. You will build them and actually have a story behind them. It would also fit with why they're saying to not dismantle everything yet.
-
I think it should be the iron banner weapons only. It makes them more exclusive and takes away from the excitement of getting a good roll on a random legendary drop.
-
It has made getting legendary drops not even exciting. Before you might get a perfect roll on a gun you'd never normally use, but now you just grind until you get the best gun and then reforge it.
-
I appreciate the mechanic being there, but I never used it other than in IB.
-
1 ReplyIt's cool but it also made it too easy to get the guns I want and how I want them. Took away from the feeling of "this drop might be the one I've been looking for", instead it's oh okay cool a new gun I guess.
-
No. It makes us get the best legendary possible and no excitement when you get other legendarys.

3 RepliesEdited by Coyote_x_Starrk: 8/18/2015 12:36:58 AMGod no. Rolling guns is what RUINED PvP and PvE. Its what led to the unbalanced shitstorm of longer ranged shotguns. It also led to more people using the SAME EXACT loadouts because they found a gun with good stats and rolled it into EXACTLY what they wanted rather than bothering to grind to get a gun that has the right perks. Thank god 2.0 is gonna be getting rid of 90% of that crap.
-
I do in that I only have to grind for a gun once... I don't because I'm addicted to it.
-
Edited by BusyBadger: 8/18/2015 12:40:51 AMIron Banner weapons only, as it was originally. EDIT: If I had to choose yes or no, with Iron Banner included in the mix I'd say no rerolls at all.
-
I liked it as it allow you to get weapons and reroll perks that fit your play style. Some weapons come with not so good rolls like the stock red hand IX from new monarchy. Re rolling gave you a chance to buy or win a weapon and get better perks. It was still random, so you couldn't just pick what you wanted.
-
I think weapons that are the same, should all have the same perks. Like exotics are now... they should never change. This would make people use other weapons that had specific perks they wanted.
-
1 ReplyToo easy to get perfect roll weapons, then we have the current issue of people using the same weapons
-
It was awesome at first, but now that I don't have weapon parts, motes of light, glimmer, or any reason to be excited for non exotic weapon drops other than if I decide to farm for TDB or Vanilla Destiny weapons, plus just the same exact rolls of weapons seen in the Crucible, I don't like it. Plus, it makes the Iron Banner weapons less desirable, since something like Party Crasher +1 can be rerolled to a better version of the Felwinter's Lie in my opinion.
-
I'd rather every legendary gun have it's own set of perks that can never be different. But if perks are still random then re rolling should still be a thing
-
Honestly all I want is to be able to re roll stats on raid armor. If I get a pure str chest...i would love to be able to try to roll to something with some int at least.

Edited by GeneralPoe: 8/18/2015 12:41:54 AMI don't like it, it doesn't make guns unique anymore. Why Grind for Gun A when Gun B can be re rolled into the specs of Gun A
-
A) its fun to waste coins on "god rolls." B) I appreciate the great rolls that dropped organically much more than I value the ones I constantly rolled to get. C) neither one has a lot of bearing on my enjoyment of the game.

I'm not sure. I mean, there's a lot of absolutely useless perks. If you rely on initial drops there's a good chance you'll get crappy perks. I do think that people go overboard on re-rolling. I usually shoot for two out of three good perks. -
i guess the whole shotgun "problem" or at least the one with shot package was because you could easily roll for it and get shottys with high range. imo this option should get removed from the weaponsmith BUT: he should give you weekly quests to do so you can get 1-2 items per week that can reroll legendarys. this way you can still reroll your gear but you cant get perfect rolls (or just maybe) after 10 seconds. also this makes weapons you get from poe, strikes, crucible etc. not obsolote after you already got 1 or 2 (because you could easily give them perfect rolls).

1 ReplyEdited by Nighthawk_0430: 8/17/2015 11:36:04 PMI'm torn. On one hand, it means there is little diversity in perk selection between players with the same gun, since most roll the same perks. On the other hand though, it meant every weapon had a chance to be good, cause you could fix it's issues, or roll it to your playstyle
-
While it seemed like a good idea at the time, I think it backfired. Finding "perfect" rolls or combos that make weapons too OP, which in turn get overused, which in turn gets them nerfed... Perhaps just the Iron Banner weapons. But I tend to lean towards no re-rolls at all. Just deal with the perks RNG gives you. I like the random perks and either learning to use them or dismantle the weapon because they don't suit you for whatever reason.
-
It made ib guns worthless and not unique anymore
-
1 ReplyI feel you should be lucky enough to get the best roll, not buy it.
