To be fair you're right, the UK gets taxed to the hilt on just about everything. Take fuel for example, although the price has come down a little from a few years ago I can still go across to the continent and fill my car up for half what I would pay in UK. Alcohol and cigarettes are the same, blame our greedy government.
-
Yeah that's all it is VAT tax
-
It's not vat, if it is explain why vanilla destiny was £40 and $60, yet the ttk is £40 $40? Also why do other games from any developer including the use still cost £40 here and $60 in the USA? Finally why was ttk £23-$43 for us the day it was on psn/xbox live then bumped up a day later? Because it's nothing to do with the UK IT IS BUNGIE
-
Did you buy Vanilla destiny in physical form?
-
Yes, and the price was identical for digital, and the price for TTK is the same.
-
From everything I looked up it seems like you guys pay more for digital content then people in the U.S., which I think it has something to do with you're government. Which is why I said it's not bungie
-
Edited by zornyan: 8/16/2015 10:18:40 PMIt's not anything to do with our government, again, every single other game in existence is £40 here and $60 to you, or $20 here and $40 to you. Even vanilla destiny had the correct pricing, TTK is THE ONLY GAME /DLC that has these "special taxes" not any other game coming out this/next year. Again it's purely bungie. And don't forget countries like Australia and the rest of Europe.are paying inflated.prices too for ttk
-
Yeah because the UK sets prices for everything sold in it... I sold my bike the other week, did my country price it? No I did...
-
Imported stuff are you 12? Lol
-
Edited by TR The Flash: 8/16/2015 9:55:19 PMYes, imported from within the EU, not the US. $40 = £25 + 20% VAT = £30 not £40.
-
Edited by PSYCHOBILLYBEAR: 8/16/2015 9:41:31 PMNo just stuff that gets imported. They want the cut of whatever goes in.
-
You... You take stupidity to another level
-
Please read before you call someone stupid http://wololo.net/2014/07/16/digital-ps4-games-still-up-to-48-more-expensive-outside-of-the-us-aaa-titles-up-to-57-more/
-
Actually no, not stupid. I ship a lot of stuff overseas and the UK always wants a piece of everything. I get people telling that they have to pay taxes on stuff they buy from other country's.
-
Edited by J7NS: 8/18/2015 12:03:59 PMWell how about I tell you that when the TTK was announced and available for pre order, the price for UK players on the UK market was £28 then it was changed to £40.....
