From 1 January 2015 there are new place of supply rules for value added tax (VAT) on the supply of digital services by businesses to consumers in the EU.
VAT on digital services will be paid in the consumer’s country, not the supplier’s country. It will be charged at the rate that applies in the consumer’s country.

True but in the UK that's 20% which would bring the correct value of TTK to around £30 not £40. It's pretty shit and there's definitely something a bit off about it. Regardless, it's not going to change so people either need to shut up about or just outright boycott it. Personally ill probably still buy it, just waiting for the live streams leading up to it to decide for sure

I agreed with you there and to be perfectly honest I can waste 40 quid very easy. But I'm gunna push for a union jack shadder for our extra tenner cost :)
-
Definitely, £40 certainly ain't gonna break the bank. I just want a bit more info before buying hence waiting a little longer before prordering. Not sure about the union jack shader though lol

Yes, so convert $40 into £ and you get £25.57. Add the 20% VAT and you get £30.68 - not £40 - quite a difference.

9.32 going straight into there pocket. Look at brazils ps store and it's something like 23 dollars.

Edited by Cerberus64: 8/16/2015 3:24:04 PMYeah, they're screwing over many of their international customers - though, surprise surprise, not the Japanese who are being asked to pay ¥4999 which is almost exactly $40.

That's a bit of a joke. I can't see why they cannot just call it 40 dollars and convert it to what ever currency said country has. If It lives up to a new game cost will suprise me as it's a DLC
