Because they'd rather Destiny be a social experience than just some generic piece of content.

LOL Destiny has ZERO social tools. It's the most anti-social online game in the history of online games.
-
I take it you have no friends?
-
I have 9 online right now, 5 of which play Destiny. Doesn't mean the game has social tools. I take it you've never played a good MMO? (In before "This isn't an MMO.")
-
I play eve, the most social game in existence. Social != helps you find friends.
-
Then what in the hell are you talking about? You're fine with no chat of any kind? No clan chat? No spatial chat? No place for the community to interact, congregate and mobilize? No place for the playerbase to get to know each other and say 'Hey, I like you. Let's form a group.' I'm speechless. And laughing. And you're now muted because I won't go toe-to-toe with someone gone full retard.
-
Silencing the opponent is not the same as winning an argument lol I never said I wouldn't lack Destiny to have more ways to find randos. What I have said, is that it acts as a perfect way to interact with your friends while playing the game. It's unfortunate you can't enjoy that.
-
he may have a lot of friends but none that play Destiny
-
Then, for the purpose of the discussion, he has no friends. It wasn't an insult to his social life.
-
I know I was just saying that as an example, we could all have 100's of online friends and not 1 would be playing Destiny
-
Yeah, RL friends != Online friends != Destiny friends. I don't see how this is relevant.
-
what is social in the world (game) that is Destiny?
-
Playing with friends is typically a great social experience (friends not included)
-
lol, so I have to make friends with no social tools (destiny lacks social tools)
-
I believe Destiny is something to play with your friends, not something to help you make friends
-
And if your friends are all in different time zones?
-
Then you a) play with them when available, b) find more friends, c) play solo and enjoy an inferior experience.
-
and if your friends are all in different time zones?

Then you a) play with them when available, b) find more friends, c) play solo and enjoy an inferior experience.
/facepalm. "Go be social in Destiny, play with your friends!" In a game with zero social aspects to it...? Mmmmmmmmmkay!
-
I don't see how Destiny prevents you from being social with your friends, m8.
-
Edited by Megaman: 8/14/2015 12:38:01 PMIt prevents you from playing with anyone who isn't on your "friends list." Just because I put 70 random people from a website on my friends list, of which 3 still play, it equates to me playing with friends? OR Enable optional mm and g fu cking g, problems solved. No social aspects to Destiny whatsoever. No chat hub, trading, social area, etc...
-
So you're complaining that it has no aspects that allow you to be social with randos, who are by definition not your friends.
-
Nope, none of my friends play destiny any more. We've all realized what a cash grab this cluster f uck of recycled content had been, continues to be, and will most likely be in the future. When half of the "New strikes" in an "expansion" are just the same strikes from before, but updated to include the new skinned enemies, how can you not realize how bad ttk will be after the two previous pay to unlock "dlc" packs were? That's rhetorical, please don't bother with more of your boring replies. I was hoping to troll you some more, but your boring.
-
Maximum damage control, and learn the definition of troll. I'm sorry your "friends" stopped playing Destiny (we all know they don't exist). It sucks trying do something social with no friends. I should know, as I've been friendless in a foreign country for a bit. Shit sucks. Your own damn fault for not fixing it. Funny how you say that half the new strikes are reskins, because that's certainly one way to look at it, but even then there's still 2x-3x the strikes that the previous DLCs launched. Not really a valid argument point. Also, pay to unlock DLC. The one conspiracy theory that never gets old. It's such a shame that you were the one to nab that megaman name, because you're certainly not worth of it.

I've been halfway across the world for the past two months and I still have found time to play with people. These guys have no excuse.
