OK, a fair point. I live near NYC and the prices for drinks there are really expensive as well. At least 1.5 times the price I pay an hour drive outside of NYC. And that was what I was thinking of when I made that comment originally. But I was also in Glasgow in 2011, so London is not my only experience. I have also felt the conversion rate hit with the Euro in Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands, and Ireland as well.
Coming from this side of the pond, I have just always felt like I was paying extra for the conversion rate. The Pound to US has been around 1.7 for a long time, and I always felt like the trip cost me 1.7x for everything I bought. And with the Euro, in 2007 it was about 1.5, but just 2 months ago it was more like 1.1. That difference didn't change the price of goods in those countries, but it gave me a lot more buying power.
With all that said though, if Bungie charged you guys 40 pounds for the original game and now want 40 for TTK, I can't argue with that being BS. We paid 60 when it first released, so TTK is 2/3 of that. Should be the same for you guys I'd say. Seems fair.
All I meant was its not really fair to assume that prices in London and the UK are the same therefore because London is expensive, so is the game for the rest of the uk
