Are you talking about Halo, or Halo Legends? Halo Legends is a collection of smaller animated movies, each with different styles and stories. It'd be rather hard to not like all of them, cause they're all different- some serious, some not.
Halo on the other hand is a different story. Halo isn't/wasn't one if the fast twitch (though it had the option of being one via custom games) shooters, instead being more comparable to Gears of War or maybe even Mech Assault in that you are relatively tough, so its harder to play Solo as people can team up to take you down easier.
For me personally, Halo shines best in it's Universe and Technology. When you go inti the games, Forge and Custom Games always drew my attention, which are relatively rare for console games but a requirement for main series Halo now.
There's Halo Legends, a collection of animated movies in various styles.
Then came Halo: Forward Unto Dawn, telling the story of a main character from Halo 4and the academy he was taught at shortly before the planet gets attacked by the covenant. Live action.
There's also Halo: Nightfall, a live action movie acting as part action and part horror that sucked in my opinion. Used to give Agent Locke background..and...eeehh..
There's also smaller things. Halo Reach had a small commercial, live action, focusing on the death of the previous Noble 6.
Whatever you want to try and say about the Story, Matchmaking,Etc...Custom Games and Forge make it a moot point. Jusy Sayin'.
Also, Sci-fi is love.
